A federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., is investigating a man who allegedly used Twitter to threaten U.S. Rep. and former presidential candidate Michele Bachmann.
SNIP
In his opinion, the judge deemed the messages too crude to print, and said the poor taste was almost incomprehensible. But he did argue that the government has a compelling interest in investigating the threats against Bachmann and needs the Mr. X's identity to determine the threat's legitimacy.

Just a side note on the nature of politics and endorsements.
Today, Tim Pawlenty endorsed Michele Bachmann for her congressional seat.
She’s going to have a tough time after the re-drawing of the MN congressional districts.
Add to that a sick puppy for Secretary of State, bought and paid for by Georgy Schwartz.
Nothing that could be directly a threat but enough to set off a nutcase. Like she's dangerous, kooky.
Oh.. that's right. I forgot. Imus is one of them nonpartisan shows -- wow.. there are a lot of them that be hatin' on Republicans. Imus likes Obama -- mistakes and all -- but will likely vote for a Republican he calls "dull empty suit", he says.
That seems to be how the GOP intends to deal with that tea party problem.
In my Michigan district the redistricting doesn’t look bad but there are rumors of a deal for the GOP to back our “moderate” senate majority leader when he’s forced out by term limits.
It says in the link right below the post but basically it said that he “wanted to f* her in the a* with a Vietnam era machete”.
Don Imus and the left aren’t the only offenders in painting conservatives as crazy. The GOP LOVE to do it, the chicken-chit way, of course.
“A conservative Republican House member, speaking on the condition of anonymity, suggested that Bachmanns views and her willingness to state them make it hard for her to keep staff.
When your captains crazy, its time to find a new ship, the lawmaker said. “
Then think about the game plan for GOP-e of painting Gingrich as a mentally unstable person, what they’ve done to Palin. It seems to be a favorite game of the GOP-e.
I think Rove could use a visit with some jumper-cables.
Kinda like how Mike Tyson threatened Gov. Palin?
