The Intel Hub alerts us to a shocking new defense contract entered by the Department of Homeland Security to secure a massive amount of ammunition, with the option for infinite supply, infinite delivery.
ATK Awarded Contract to Supply 450 Million Rounds of .40 Caliber Ammunition to the Department of Homeland Security
ATK has secured a major Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity deal to supply up to 450 million rounds of .40 caliber ammunition to the Department of Homeland Security.
The 1 year contract with four option years comes at a time when many Americans believe that DHS, along with certain aspects of the military, will soon turn their sights on the American people during some sort of martial law scenario.
We are proud to extend our track record as the prime supplier of .40 caliber duty ammunition for DHS, ICE, said Ron Johnson, the president of ATKs Security and Sporting group, reported a PR Newswire release.
The Department of Homeland Security has been extremely busy in the last few months.

The Department of Homeland security has just executed an order for enough rounds of 40 caliber ammunition to kill every man, woman and child in the United States.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Maybe they are going to make free ammo a part of ObamaCare like contraception. Women’s reproductive rights, after all.
I would guess the reason they are ordering so much ammo is that a majority of their agents have sociology, women studies and art history degrees and need a lot of practice.
Those would be the degrees with the highest percentage of PC worshippers, right?
Probably because law enforcement agencies are standardizing under .40 from the mix of calibers they have used in the past. (I’ve seen several references to this over the past 6 or 7 years on LEO forums). It is a slow process but it seems a logical explanation.
Napalitano gonna secure the border?
A dog is to get me to my pistol which is to get me to my rifle which can get me to real weapons.
450M rounds of pistol ammo is just stupid. Which is normal for our feral gooberment.

The drumbeat of Bolshevik Dictator Baby-Doc Barak continues to grow louder - - - .
Keep undocumented workers from leaving to go to Mexico to get jobs before the election?
To give to the Mexican Drug Cartels, of course. (I’m not racist. I capitalized the M in Mexican)
The warning signs continue to mount. Hussein Obama will not let the 2012 election stop his plans to make everyone a slave to the state.
We need to get ready. We need to be prepared to fight for our freedom and overthrow the tyrants.
WTF...
“Maybe they are going to make free ammo a part of ObamaCare like contraception. Womens reproductive rights, after all.”
Mass post-birth abortions?
They intend to include Canadians too?
So many politicians, so few lamp-posts.
I will give Haiti one thing, they are trying to use the forms of law to try him, instead of a summary court, execution, and brunch.

Its probably for all the TSA agents that will be forward moved to our roadway roadblocks for “inspections”. This is a major go signal. Time to end this madness.
I swear this: I will take down at least five of them before I give up the ghost. Bring it, Janet Incompetano. Bring it.
Obama’s civilian army. Its only a matter of time before they are turned on the people.
That sounds extremely high unless they are going to supply other agencies too. I remember when there was something like 5,000 IRS special agents, so lets guess high and say there are 10,000 armed TSA agents.
That works out to 45,000 rounds for each one, and that is probably a low guess.
>> “Why Did The DHS Just Order 450 Million Rounds Of .40 Caliber Ammunition?” <<
.
Some of us will take more than one shot to go.
.
Sounds like a sign to buy .40s. If the SHTF, you’ll always know where you can find ammo.
Of course it's logical. Have you ever known government to spend, pursue actions and or exhibit behavior that fails to be in America's best interest?
And if ya don't believe this, fill out government forms 792-875b volume III, along with your application, processing fees and appropriate taxes and be prepared to wait 37 weeks for a response.
What law enforcement agencies are under the aegis of the Dept. of Homeland Security? How many of those employees are armed?
>> “but it seems a logical explanation” <<
.
We don’t want a logical explanation, we want a sensational one.
.
The only rational thing I can think of is for target practice for the agents. There’s no way 40 cal pistols would be any match against serious opposition.
Question: What does such a sizeable order do to the available supplies for the manufacture of ammunition in this country overall?
Is this intended to corner the market on those supplies leaving citizens without resources for ammunition?
I wouldn’t put it past the bastards.
Do you want to stand there while I pump your carcass full of .40 slugs, and tell me how serious it feels?
.
Its just more ‘stimulus’ spending.
Methinks he’s considering there are >18,000,000 deer hunters.
That ain’t enough ammo with the amount of rifle ammo out there in real American hands.
They didn't. They signed a contract that sets pricing for up to 450 million rounds (infinite supply, infinite delivery). Expect a series of smaller orders.
Why should we care, other than insisting they got it for a fair price for our taxpayer dollars?
American citizens purchase more than One Billion rounds of ammo each month, every month, year after year.
Thanks, but I’m on dial-up. Briefly what’s it about?
While .40 is more than adequate for executing sheep it’s foolish to think that someone armed with only a .40 handgun
is unstoppable....especially by someone armed with a rifle.
Why do they want this much ammo? Open for debate.
Will having this much pistol ammo tilt the odds in
their favor considering how many rifles and how much
rifle ammo is owned by us pitiful domestic terrorists?
Not likely.
FBI, US Marshall Service, ICE, Federal Air Marshall Service, Secret Service, Layered Nuclear Defense Agency, National Fugitive Operations Service, Protective Investigation Service, Diplomat Security Service, US Coast Guard...etc.. There also is the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in which many State and Local law enforcement agencies receive training. (..and those are just the agencies/departments that I can recall that have armed employees).
double tap all conservatives?
It’s not going to be open warfare. They are going to take us a few at a time. Just incrementally enough to avoid sparking open rebellion.
OK, on a hunch I went to the link, and at least found what the video is about. I don’t do the videos as they take all night, all day to load up.
I believe the Civilian Army, or “Brown Shirts” was covered by other FReepers in several of the posts. What occured to me, and Mrs. RQSR in discussion of the article was the possibility of supply of ammunition being disrupted intentionally by the Little Big Guy in the White Hut.
Just another perspective. Just another possibility.
That means we have 18,000,000 potential snipers. The Japanese were right not to invade the mainland United States.
Minimum number of bullets the US
military purchased for use in 2003 = 1,500,000,000.
They are going to go into the millions of sub-guns the DHS Stasis will be posting on most street corners to keep order.
This is not a big deal. Do your research or tie your leg to the table.
I was thinking the same thing—they are bringing pistols to a rifle fight.
Being a SEAL you should now how much and how fast rounds gets used. 450 mil will just cover the required qualification for all the agencies under DHS.
Read this everybody, please!
Ann Barnhardt: “Why The March 16th, 2012 White House Executive Order Is Different”
She lays it out better than anyone ever has. Obama is about to go full dictatorship. This must go viral! Including the short video at the end.
Sounds like a sign to buy .40s. If the SHTF, youll always know where you can find ammo.
Yeah, always look for the good. I’m adding a .40 to the SHTF stuff. Good observation
