The author is right, you can agree with Santorums sentiments on the matter, but the fact is, its a big time loser and a turn off to a large number of voters. There are much, much bigger issues he needs to focus on, and he needs to stop taking the bait.
Seems to me there are real issues out there that need to be addressed. Real issues such as Obama.
That, coupled with his lack of sense of proportion between societal ills and societal kills, leaves him a quart low in the common sense department. It's a huge red flag for me.
A freight train from hell is bearing down on us...and we're tied to the tracks. Rick is busy trying to untie the ropes...he doesn't think to use or carry a sharp knife.
He's not ready...and he doesn't have the instincts to take him to where he needs to be.
He's the opposite of say...Sarah. She has instincts and vision in spades. And she has a sharp knife and isn't afraid to use it.
You either "have it," or you don't.
So the media instead plays with Santorum like a cat with a mouse--flipping him up in the air at their pleasure.
I am a Christian, but I wish Santorum would stop being so preachy. Huckaby did that last go ‘round, and it did him in. America wants to hear about the issues, not religion, from a candidate. JMHO.....
Most folks think “Porn” is “Debbie does Dallas”...sorry, folks. It’s a lot worse than that. If you don’t believe me, ask your teenager, or your nearest gay relative...
Snuff films. Graphic stuff where the woman or young boy is degraded...
And then there is the “child” porn industry.
I had to stop HBO many years ago because it was full of nasty R rated movies showing men happily torturing women...
Better to watch women romping around happily with long dong silver than those R rated films...
again, excuse my language.
If Santorum’s website has a statement about obscenity laws or any other issue or opinion, it should be addressed in context.
I think we need to find a way to marginalize the media's influence instead of giving credence to their characterizations. To hell with their distortions and deceptions.

Ultimately, we have bigger problems than restricting what adults can do with other adults. If Santorum really wants to fight obscenity he should focus on limiting the crazy things senators and congressmen do with unconsenting taxpayer dollars.
Santorum should, if asked about it, state that he opposes the spread of porn, but will leave it to the states. This is a huge loser of an issue that will resonate negatively with voters rightly worried about federal intrusion into their private lives. Santorum should ditch this issue in a hurry.
