There are so many things wrong with Obamacare, it’s a wonder we’ve reached a point where so many people don’t see the problems. Or perhaps they just refuse to, hm? Next week there will be arguments before the Supreme Court on whether it’s constitutionally within the government’s power to dictate to private people that they must buy private products from private providers. Back in the day, we’d say that was a transaction for all those private parties to decide. We’ve come a long way, indeed. One thing not likely to come up ...

Is Top Surloin(SIC) the package on top of the Choice Sirloin or the one on top of the Prime Sirloin?

Yes. Blogpimps should at least use spellcheck. Surloin, indeed.

There are a ton of legal maxims that invalidate it.
These are principles of English.European law that go back a thousand years.

Any one may renounce a law introduced for his own benefit.
No one is obliged to accept a benefit against his consent.
Consent makes the law. A contract is a law between the parties, which can acquire force only by consent.
An act of the court shall oppress no one.
An act of the law wrongs no man.
An act done against my will is not my act.

These are the fundamentals of social and contract law!!

No. Imagine the government saying that you have to buy a cheap cut of meat that you can’t chew or cut with even the sharpest of steak knives or pay a fine. Government run health care won’t be like a good steak. It’ll be more like pink slime.

Top sirloin?

A more accurate comparison to the HC plan would be Red Slime, as in “you must buy red slime or face a fine”.
