Now that debunked "fact" will spread far and wide.

We have people from 35 countries here. Many of them are Moslems and Buddhists, there are Hindus and Taoists, we have Protestants and Catholics, Orthodox Christians and Orthodox Jews ~ blacks, whites, East Asians, South Asians ~ latin Americans of all types.

I"m kind of drawn to this story because the neighborhood where the shooting occurred is not all that different than my own ~ except as an Haitian fellow told me recently "It's so great to live here where you don't need to lock your doors". (BTW, not my impression at all, having seen otherwise, but it's a relative value thing ~ he meant during the day when you're home).

I’m not presuming that George wad a bad guy. High-strung, but not bad.

I agree, as George was the one with the greater authority, he was under the greater obligation of explaining to Martin what he was up to. If he had done so, all would have been well.

Martin could not have known who George was and I honestly think that none of us would have done much different than Martin did, under the circumstances.

The convenience store was not 4 miles. It was 0.7 miles or about 1,000 yards. Not an unreasonable distance.

Give me coordinates with Google maps. And please don't tell you you mapped out the distance "as the crow flies". Unless this kid liked crossing major highways and swamps.

It is not true. His father went to bed not worried that his son was going to come home like he always did (the father had not been home at the time of the shooting.) First thing in the morning, he was very worried when his son was not there, and he called the police to report him missing. He was identified at that time. In this story, the day after the shooting, he is interviewed by local media. (Although they identify Tracy Martin as the mother, Tracy Martin is the father's name.)

I was referring to your earlier post re Zimmerman set the whole thing in motion, and ultimately Martin is dead. Sorry if that isn’t exact. I’m paraphrasing.

All I’m asking is that you acknowledge that just because Zimmerman chose to leave his vehicle he isn;t necessarily responsible for Martin’s death. Lots of things can happen between point A and point B that change the equation.

Are you saying that the quotes from a neighbor who says he saw Trayvon on top of Zimmerman, pummeling him, right before Trayvon was shot, are heresay/irrelevant? Really?

This is Sanford. You don't have to go the whole way to 7/11 to get your "candy cane". There are plenty of places in between you can stop and get some.

Find a URL that tells us EXACTLY which 7/11 he went to. I"VE been watching for that ~ and it escaped my attention.

NOW, about stores closing at 7, he could have gone BEFORE 7, been out of there, and be back home by 7:20 if he hadn't been shot.

I think it's possible he went past the orthodontist's office which is at 111 on a nearby street. Just my speculation, but George could very well have had that number in mind ~ when he gave it as his own location.

I THINK it's highly speculative that his fear of being overheard is the reason he didn't give his own address ~ I took it as simple evasion ~ suggesting purpose of evasion ~ which is....... well, he didn't want the dispatcher to know something relevant. NO IDEa what that was at the time, but one thing could be that he saw Martin earlier.

No doubt that's been checked out by somebody by now.

You've sure missed a lot of discussion, but yeah, who's on top in an ongoing struggle is irrelevant ~ legally speaking.

Remember, one of the parties is dead and can't speak for himself. The witness (JOHN) DIdn't say he saw it start ~

My personal guess is the equipment locker room to get a football or something minor like that.

If it was something minor, the father and lawyer would be telling you what it was. I'm betting it was an office or some area where money was kept.

I don't know. It doesn't appear to say at Photobucket, and the pic doesn't have EXIF data, as far as I can tell.

Did the deleted thread have a picture of a guy alleged to be Martin with gold teeth and with a dartboard in the background? I saw a collage on Stormfront that had such a picture. But they are just a bunch of nazis who would gladly make stuff up to support their racist agenda.

I have no illusions about the two principals: it was a wannabe cop meeting a wannabe gangsta. Am I wrong?

We've got proof as to the wannabe cop. We have no proof as to the wannabe gangsta. I would like to know more about why he was suspended from school, however.

Throughout this whole thing, I've marveled at how that original news report included eyewitness claims that Martin was atop Zimmerman, on the attack.

Many people posting, even today, are not aware of this, or have been manipulated by the MSM to think it's the other way around.

A magnificent attempt by the left. Really, one must admire the ambition of their plan. Too bad it will likely backfire.

You know, I’ve seen references to 7-Eleven in a lot of stories, but I don’t know where they came from, or whether they are true. I do not doubt that he had Skittles in his pocket when he died, and I don’t care where he got them. But the lazy news stories that repeat so many unsourced minor details, some provably false, many completely irrelevant, calls into question many of the more important details being reported.

The fact of the matter is, it makes no difference whatsoever where he got the Skittles. It is undisputed that Martin had every right to be where he was.

And so did Zimmerman. That’s what’s so tragic.
