Now, for the most important election in my lifetime, I'd like some payback from the GOPe in the form of a candidate I want to vote for.
And they push Romney, the guy who couldn't even beat McCain, while they aid in his destruction of all challengers.
To paraphrase what Reagan once said about the demonrat party, I once was a Republican, but the party left me.
I seem to have lost my way. Can anyone help with some directions? Which way to the political party for fiscal conservative, social libertarians?
“I’ve been a good little soldier for the GOPe all my voting life, never missing an election and always voting for their presidential candidate.”
My voting record is probably worse than yours:
‘96 Bob Dole *YAWN*
‘00 Pat Buchanan (I was the only person in South Florida who willfully voted for Pitchfork Pat. I was young and very, very stupid.)
‘04 proudly voted for George W. Bush. No regrets until he went all TARP crazy.
‘08 RuPaul in the Primary (What was I thinking ? Couldn’t tell you. This was during my “libertarian phase”. I couldn’t be any more ashamed of this if I tried. I should have voted for Fred Thompson, come to think of it, I just might write him in.) and Sarah Palin (NOT McLAME) during the ‘08 Popularity Contest.
So far this year, I’ve voted for Newt, my best voting choice yet.

Don’t hold your breath. They hate Conservatives far more than they do liberals.
