The SREC will pass a resolution this weekend warning candidates that if they do not show up, they will be considered as not caring for Texas and should not get our vote
A Major, Televised Presidential Debate in Texas? This is pretty much unheard of!
Nothing is set in stone yet, but the Republican Party of Texas is close to finalizing a deal that will bring a nationally televised Republican Presidential Debate to Houston, TX on May 24th, 2012. The debate will be only 5 days before the Texas Primary Election and there are 155 Presidential Delegates at stake. A candidate needs 1144 delegates to win the Republican nomination.

The national GOP establishment will squash this debate like a bug. Romney doesn’t want to take any risks. He and Santorum both chickened out of a Georgia debate in fear of Gingrich, and that debate was cancelled. So what makes anyone think this one will be any different?
Yes!
We’ll be good and ready for this!
BUMP
This is the way to do it!
Just what we need. ANOTHER frickin’ debate. Ah, well. There’s always re-runs of “The Big Bang Theory”.
Cooper - Hofstedter 2012
Of course it is the way, but it isn’t the way that is desired by the vested interests.
Why, there’ve been umpteen jillion debates already, we don’t need any more...that’s the establishment meme!
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, do ya mind?...Texas would like to weigh in, LARGE.
This process is the worst one of its nature I’ve ever seen.
Who??
They are two of the characters [both physicists] on “The Big Bang Theory” [first runs Thursday nights at 8:00 PM on CBS]. The campaign slogan is from a t-shirt I have.
B-U-M-P!
YOU BETCHA!
Oh, dearie dear....Willard Romney’s blood is curdling at the very thought. Newt would take NO prisoners!
Bring it, Texas——woo hoo!
That is the way to do it... if Texas wants to have a debate then they will do it and FORCE the candidates to show up, haha!
Why bother? Bill O’Reilly and the GOP Establishment has already said Romney is the “inevitable” nominee.
they can send out the Texas Rangers to drag Romney’s sorry a%^ up on stage...
