False. Does anyone really believe that in this day with no standards pretty much anywhere or any place and HR guidelines that are amazingly stupid that somehow an HR bimbo has her panties in a wad about tats and piercings?? She probably has a tramp stamp of her own.

Does anyone here other than YOU think that YOU have the least bit of knowledge about what goes on in an HR dept. when it comes to recruiting? You're clueless Toad

You've just exhibited your ignorance in assuming that all HR departments are staffed by females........

The ‘men’ are bimbos, too. No ignorance there.

Having run consulting companies I have hired and fired more people than you can probably count. The people I have fired the most have been in the HR dept. Clueless, useless, wonders. It’s where people with degrees in “Business Communications”, “Humanites”, and “Minority Studies” go.

True. Any employee who is visible to the public is seen as a representative of the company, and it is far from unusual for a company to take a chance on offending current or potential customers. The bottom line is that as a prospective employee, few companies are going to take a chance on losing business because you decided to express yourself.

Care to share why? Or better yet, why don't you explain to us what the function of a corporate or plant HR department is.......

I suspect you don't know and thus your ignorant comment. In fact, I would go so far as to say you're one of those department know-it-all wannabe's who couldn't quite figure out why management always passed you over for promotion...........LOL!

Try getting a real job instead of being a clerk.

Ok, I apologize. I looked at your profile and some of your posts, I didn’t know. Again I didn’t mean to offend you.

A clerk is a REAL job, it is an entry level job.

Actually, I’m not that averse to tats. They might come in handy when varicose veins arrive, spider veins, etc., whatever outward affliction may come. Those who choose to have them, at least for the next 10-20 years in certain disciplines, must do so carefully. In the right biz, even traditional (engineeering, law, etc.), however, tats can be a draw to a certain generation.

Ok, so in your case, the only way they’d find out is if you were staggering drunk to where somebody dares, and you take the dare, to strip on the dance floor. Sounds like you’re pretty safe.
