heck, the women in my family are the ones who taught me to shoot and fight. Back when I was a kid, most of the women in my family stayed home, cooking and cleaning, ect, and the men had hard labor jobs. So, between batches of jams and jellies, and while the washing was drying on the line, I got a really got education. I once asked my grandfather, and my Dad why they weren't teaching me to shoot. Their reply: Mom and Nanny shoot better than we do with a long gun. Gotta love the Ladies in my family.

In the worst of worst scenarios, only two kinds of people will have value. Young women useful as whores, and young men useful as soldiers. The rest of us are extraneous.
Not true. Logistics is what wins a battle. The "whores" will give the soldiers a reason to fight, but the soldiers need support in the form of food, shelter, communications, supplies, ammo, etc. One big problem with the youngest few generations is that they grew up in a disposable society. They think if something breaks, you throw it away and get a new one. Well, that won't be possible in a SHTF situation. Having people around that can fix (or build) vehicles, guns, electronics, generators, etc. will be invaluable. Those of us with those kinds of skills will be well taken care of.

Those of us with those kinds of skills will be well taken care of. Sorry, but what immediately leapt to mind was the half-pint half of Master/Blaster from "Mad Mad - Beyond Thunderdome", stuck in the underground pig factory. But I guess in SHTF times a jobs a job ;-)

You know that thing called "civilization"? It's not here because there's an option to it.
SHTF or not, without the various aspects that make up civilization, everyone dies. Even the lusty soldiers screwing the young whores - all dead.

Misconception. The original 911 fits most women’s hands reasonably well. I won’t speak to the recoil, just the grip size. The 1911 has a fairly slim grip compared to most modern handguns.

I have medical training. Maybe they will keep me around.

I remember a line from “Lucifer’s Hammer”, of one of the male characters thinking that one of the good things about the asteroid strike was that women’s lib was dead 2 seconds after.

When whores and soldiers are expendable, your skills are not quite as valuable as you think.

I don’t think the “death” of women’s liberation is a good thing, but death of the delusion of it sure would be.
