What's sadly ironic is that if all of the people saying that this couldn't be done would simply get on board instead of mewling about how it can't be done, it could be done.
Polls prove it, too, and have proven it for years:

If the Mitt and Obama fought over the 56% of America that is moderate to liberal, that would leave the 40% of American conservatives with a victory by plurality.
This is why united conservatives could forge a party that would spell the end of the GOP.
