Posted on 04/21/2012 11:27:58 PM PDT by Publius804
Bailout recipient Bank of America has severed relations with an American company because of a reported bias against their industry. McMillan Group International released an extraordinary statement on Facebook regarding the incident:
McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years. Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking came to my office. He scheduled the meeting as an account analysis meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent five minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last five years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories.
At this point I interrupted him and asked Can I possible save you some time so that you dont waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer what my business. Advertisement
That is correct he says.
I replied That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a Second Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You wont mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?
You have to do what you must he said.
So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?
Mr Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing let for him to say.
McMillan is now refusing to accept Bank of America cards from customers for payment.

The boycott is on re Bank of America. Vietnam veterans and newer veterans, on a national scale, have been notified about what the BOA has done.
Time that the consumer struck back against these Stimulus cheese-eating, spineless leftists who cave in to Media Matters and other communist fronts of George Soros.
Let’s put our money where our mouth is, and that’s not at the Bank of America.
Spread the word, just like Paul Revere did. But this time the message is:” The real Americans are coming, and payback’s a bitch”!
Everyone should ‘drop’ BofA. They have no business being in business.
Why anyone would have an account with them is beyond me. Find a local/regional bank or a credit union.
I posted articles about this on Friday in my local political and tea party Facebook groups.
Wasn’t this the same bank giving credit cards to non-USA citizens? The same bank taking a tax payer bail-out? The same bank pulling out the US flags on their property along the route of a veteran to his final resting place?
Should use my bank. Its a smaller bank and thats where a person gets the best rates and service.
I did a search for them on FB...and they are taking a beating. Good.
Ah, the scent of fascism in the air, smells sweet...to Obama.
“Everyone should drop BofA. ..”
I did that years ago, so the next step is to pass on this information to my friends, so they drop them, too.
I used to bank at Lincoln Savings. Actually, my parents started accounts for brother and me there when we were babies, Small, knew the tellers and managers and they knew their customers. Once I needed a small loan. No major hassle. No credit check. The bank knew I was good for it.
Alas, Lincoln was absorbed by the predecessor to First Niagara and we customers lost that hometown, friendly service. I miss Lincoln.
BOA may become a penny stock by the end of next week.
Are there any patriotic American banks? Which banks aren’t run by international swindlers?
IIRC Bank of America has been dropping gun related business accounts for some time. Must look back and research once more coffee kicks in.
I think non profit credit unions are the best places to do Banking.
I remember several years back that BOA announced it was going to issue credit cards to illegal aliens. Clearly un American and now this, definitly un Amercan
The only relationship I have with BoA is they hold the mortgage on the house I’m trying to buy in a short sale.
In other words, I’m helping the current “owners” screw BoA out of a significant portion of what they owe on the house....
Breaking 4 days ago.....
If I was head of B of A, this clown Fox would be bounced out of his job so hard he would be picking gravel out of his butt for months.
Could it have anything to do with the fact that the Democratic National Convention is to be held in the city where BOA is based? Charlotte, NC?
Meanwhile Americans just sit by and slowly ever so slowly let their rights be whittled away from all angles...
Hopefully, Bank of Amigo will soon close its doors.
They purchased my home loan. I need to refi, looks like now is a good time.
Texas bank welcomes legally-armed customers
Some years ago I was on a ski-lift with a judge who told me the funniest cases he heard were failed bank robbery attempts. One of the amusing one's was a guy who tried to hold up a bank one block from Phili FBI HQs during lunch hour on FBI pay day (for those too young to remember the Feral gubmint used to issue printed paychecks which had to be physically transported to your bank for deposit).
To Illegal aliens using matricula cards for identification. The Bush (43) administration could have stopped this practice from ever starting by not allowing the matricula cards issued by the Mexican government in their consulates in the US as identification. Last I checked, the federal government has the exclusive power to coin and regulate money.
the BANK OF AMIGO.....THEY LOST ME A LONGTIME AGO......
Not everyone; I'm working on [restoring some] state-level constitutionalism by challenging some state statutes. All I got to do now is get it translated to legalese and filed as a suit, probably requesting a Declarative Judgement.
From a business standpoint, it makes absolutely no sense for them to severe profitable accounts from their portfolio to make a “political statement”.
Perhaps my tin foil is a little too tight this morning but I’d be more concerned that they know something we don’t i.e. all U.S. firearms manufacturing companies are gong to be shut down in the near future.
There is no upside to this decision for them. What is really going on?
“They purchased my home loan. I need to refi, looks like now is a good time.”
Yup, and after you do that, give them a call, and tell them why you left them. (But maybe it might not be a good idea to tell them before the final transaction, but I really don’t know.)
How much more?
When BofA bought Citi I cancelled the Citi card.
About that time, late 2008, I was selling a house and BofA had just bought Countrywide (where I had the mortgage). Wrapping it all up after the sale, minor issues, I talked with customer service and at then end of the call they gave me the usual: “I hope we can do business again in the future?” Our business was settled and the call was pleasant up until this point, when I told the women: “I will NEVER do business again with BofA” ...and this was when I brought up cancelling the Citi card, just for the fact that BofA bought them.
I only do business with a local bank now and with a visa of their name, at least until they get bought up.
