This is HUGE for James White!


Last week I posted up that Governor Rick Perry would be endorsing State Representative James White. Texas Comptroller Susan Combs has already officially endorsed White.

Texas Attorney General has now also endorsed James White. Greg Abbott is probably the most popular and most loved Conservative Republican in all of Texas.

It is now official!

As of this morning, the Vote James White campaign released an official statement announcing these endorsements and also announcing that Governor Perry and AG Abbott will be visiting Southeast Texas. James White's new district is Texas House District 19 which includes Hardin County (Lumberton), Polk County, Tyler County, Jasper County and Newton County. James White faces re-election against Mike 'Tuffy' Hamilton.

Perry and Abbott join Comptroller Susan Combs, Senator Dan Patrick, Cathie Adams, Texas Home School Coalition PAC, Texas Right to Life PAC, Young Conservatives of Texas, Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC and the Texas Forestry Association PAC in endorsing Representative White.

James White is a Christian Conservative Republican Rock Star and is one of the few Black State Representatives in Texas.

James White was an Army officer who served in Berlin under President Ronald Reagan and James White was even in Berlin when the Berlin Wall came down. He is now a rancher, a teacher and an East Texas Conservative Republican State Representative.

STATE REPRESENTATIVE JAMES WHITE

Governor Rick Perry and Attorney General Greg Abbott have endorsed State Representative James White for re-election to the Texas House of Representatives. 

“James White is the proven conservative in this race who will fight to limit the size of government by controlling taxes and spending. He served our nation with distinction as an Army Captain stationed in Berlin during the Cold War, and today he is serving our state as a principled, conservative leader,” said Governor Perry.

"James White is a powerful voice for conservative principles. He is an essential ally in my fight against ObamaCare and the illegal intrusion of federal government into our lives. Join me in supporting James White's re-election to the Texas House of Representatives," said General Abbott.

“I am honored and proud to earn the endorsements of Governor Rick Perry and Attorney General Greg Abbott. Both have stood strong for Texas interests and values and due to their conservative stewardship Texas was the last to enter the recession and the first state to lead our nation out of recession,” Representative White said.

I think this is more about Abbott and Perry trying to build up goodwill should they face each other in the 2014 primary. They’ve both been endorsing candidates in a number of races, and while it gives those candidates a certain cache and gets them in the paper, it’s more important for White to making contact with the voters, especially since he got drawn into that district where Hamilton is the incumbent.
