“the most prominent Christian Evangelical minister in the world”...this, more than any statement I have heard, demonstrates why the so called church is completely weak and apostate.

I’m sure it will “peak” the interest in something, maybe, oh, well.....

One of the writers is Barbara Nicolosi, a devout orthodox Catholic (she is affiliated with Catholic Answers). The other writer is the same one who wrote Gibson’s Passion movie - and we know that movie used the traditional Stations of the Cross to tell the gospel story of Christ’s passion.
It seems the traditional version of Mary - the one even Luther embraced - will prevail in this movie.
Amen.

Osteen carries the New Testament message of faith, hope and charity, which many naysayers and lovers of the law (”the ministry of death”) don’t seem to like. God has anointed Joel to minster life, strength, and healing to God’s people (”the ministry of the Spirit”).

All those folks who give him money will now see it put into a movie that will make him even more millions. I’m sure he saw what Mel made and decided he’d try to get in on it.

Joel Osteen, isn’t he that slick, vaguely Christian sounding motivational speaker? Does infomercials or something?

Peek at some of the dialog: Mary: “Joseph, I know I can do this because I feel good about myself.”

The film, entitled, Mary Mother of Christ, is going to be released in North America sometime in 2013. Under the reign of terror of Herod the Great and against all odds, Mary and Joseph survive as young parents in one of the most treacherous times in history, Aloe Entertainment writes on the companys web site, going on to discuss Osteens executive production role. Minister Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church, the most prominent Christian Evangelical minister in the world, has signed on his first movie ever as Executive Producer with a massive marketing and promotion plan. Osteen, too, has talked about the project, providing a glowing description of Marys depiction in it. Mary is portrayed as a brave, faithful young woman who readily embraces her divine destiny regardless of the sacrifices and hardships she must endure, Osteen said of the projects depiction of Jesus Christs mother. << <<
Eh, Joel... someone already thought of that and beat you to the punch:

I do not trust anything Joel Osteen is associated with to be accurate.

Another instance where the Book is better than the movie.

What's wrong with this picture? An "Evangelical" minister producing a movie about the Virgin Mary. Perhaps he has finally embraced the special mission of Mary in the light of Divine Providence? Mary's story begins in an extra-canonical book,
The Protoevangelium of James. Will the film be based on this or limited to scripture?
