I think hippos are about the only natural enemy the crocks have. They'll step on them and hold them under until they drown.

Supposedly the world's largest croc was captured last year in the Philippines:

Snapped up: Villagers capture world's largest crocodile (which weighs one ton and is 21ft long)

If this is real, it beats the previous record.
