A hard science Master’s Thesis would not have looked this way.
I can’t imagine getting permission from the president of the BSA to do ANYTHING! I would have gone to the Dean and asked for another advisor.
...my guess is the clown who wrote the Thesis for her, got paid too much
Everything about this “couple” reeks. Everything!
For this and a variety of reasons it should be apparent to all that mooch-elle is a movin-on-up, affirmative-action, equal-opportunity grifter. Worst lady, I’d say.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Worst Lady and Prez Obysmal.”
Just read the 1st chapter of her report.
Twaddle!
I’ve met her type before. About 20 years ago or so, the valedictorian of C.W. Post University visited our facility and gave a talk about women being disadvantaged in the university setting (or something like that). She had relied heavily on an AAUW study advancing this position.
At the end of her speech, she took questions. I asked her if she had looked at any studies that had conclusions opposite to the one she was pushing.
She answered, “Well, no, but I did look at other studies.”
That tells you all you need to know about Women’s studies programs.
I always write 'dew two', unstead.
Zero has an article or two from his college days posted online. Also full of errors.
Sad thing is they actually believe their college degrees mean something. Affirmative Action couple.
First time in her life she’s proud of the U.S.? Guess them handing her an Ivy League education and job though she’s unqualified wasn’t enough.
Actually, she is unfortunately part of the norm for the Ivy schools. They most certainly are not the intellectual wellsprings that people have given them credit for. Case in point, Gore and Obama both went to Ivy schools.
I started college at UC Berkeley, which was rigorous in my day. I got married before graduation (common in my day) and left my degree unfinished until after my 4th child got out of college.
When I returned to college to finish that “business” degree, I attended a small, private, Catholic college that specialized in educating working adults. Our classes were small, at night, and they emphasized co-opertive learning. IOW, they divided us into groups (as might be done in the work place) and we produced papers, presentations, vidoes, etc. in a group atmophere. And then we received a GROUP grade.
I wasn’t having that, so I often volunteered to do more than the others just so that I knew it was done right. I always typed the group papers. One thing that I was a fanatic over was the use of APA as the system for end notes and references. I knew that system backwards and forwards — better than most of the profs, since the college had just adopted it as their “style” the month that I entered. I used to haunt the library and Sr ___ to make sure that I was doing it right with every punctuation mark in exactly the right place.
I was placed in one group with the neice of the former Supt. of Schools of Milwaukee (one of Holder’s people). She was very nice, but she didn’t work too hard on her papers. She turned her section in to me in long hand for assemblage into the final product because she couldn’t type. As I started transcribing it I noted that it was good, but it sounded awfully familiar. I checked back to our text, and she had copied the entire first chapter word for word. Her name was Michelle, too, and I called her and asked how she waould like to revise the material.
“Oh, that’s a block quote” she answered.
“Shelly, you cannot blockquote the entire first chahpter of our text book and not add any material of your own,” I told her.
Well she did not have time to re-write, so I re-wrote it for her and we turned it in. I don’t think she ever read it, but we got an A.
Is there a family history on this person?
Let's hope Wisconsin is an indicator bulb that America is waking up to this fraud and will return to the correct premise of “stand on your own merit and work or do without”.
Michelle's tortured grammar would certainly have caused her committee to reject the thesis and have it re-written. Again my wife spent most of a year writing her thesis and had to go through numerous re-writes because one or more of her committee members didn't like the way a section was written. I had the same experience in writing my masters thesis.
The popular one now I cannot stand is “having said that” or “that being said”. I just want to strangle people who say that. That being said this is not to be construed as a threat.
Yeah, we certainly can all agree that Michelle doesn’t deserve any prizes in the IQ department. No news there.
Still, whichever genius wrote the headline for this story isn’t exactly the brightest bulb in the circuit either:
Michelle was an undergraduate at Princeton. So the opus in question wasn’t a “masters” thesis (with or without an apostrophe). It was a SENIOR thesis. A very big difference.
Most teachers are women - so if it IS discrimination - it is primarily discrimination BY other women.
Moreover men score better on every test of ‘academic ability’ ever devised - yet women get better grades and more go on to college and more get degrees and they now outnumber men in the workforce.
It seems to me that if one group is considered to have higher ability - yet in the system gets lower grades and less advancement - that it is THEY who are in a position to argue that they are being ‘discriminated against’.
Apparently they are impenetrable to these facts and will go on insisting that women are discriminated against in an academic setting.
You will shortly receive a FReep mail from the Coach for your audacity.
A hard science paper wouldn’t have stated that 400 names were gathered by picking every fourth name on a list of 1200.
