Here's the Obama Fundraising email received this morning.
06/16/2012
What just happened in Wisconsin wasn't an accident.
Republican Governor Scott Walker and his allies outspent the Democratic challenger nearly EIGHT to ONE -- and one of the most unpopular governors in the country managed to hold on.
This result is direct confirmation that all the outside money that's poured into elections this cycle can and will change their outcome. And it's exactly what could happen on the national stage unless we can close the gap between special interests and ordinary people.
Please donate $3 or more to support President Obama and make sure people, not special interests, decide this election.
Walker was challenged because he's spent the last year and a half promoting special interests and Republican ideologues while taking away a seat at the table for middle-class families. But when his job was on the line, those same interest groups repaid the favors -- and were willing to spend nearly EIGHT times as much money as the Democratic candidate and his allies raised.
This is the playbook Mitt Romney used in primary after primary against Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich.
His ad buys were overwhelmingly negative, and he and his backers poured money into whatever state was next until they got the result they wanted.
Now, imagine this same scenario playing out again in Wisconsin in November, and in Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Nevada, and the rest of the battleground states.
The other side has the money. They know they can buy the election if they spend it. And they are being told every day by Mitt Romney that he will do exactly what they want him to.
We can stop them.

Wasn’t it these very same Dems who up until the moment of the election were complaining that their own party wasn’t spending enough money on the campaign, and their own President wouldn’t even visit the state? Yeah...it’s all about money I guess. Idiots
Freedom is slavery
We have always been at war with Eurasia

Direct from the Ministry of Truth to the sycophant media.
Sort of like Obama did to McCain in 2008...
Lying must be a genetic thing for the libs. Walker said in this mailer to be a “most hated Governors” but yet his job approval numbers put him at 52%.
Liars figure and figures lie
The money was spent TO DEFEND THE VOTERS CHOICE FROM THE PREVIOUS ELECTION!
Only democrats would spin this as a crime against humanity.
FUBO!
No matter how they spin this, Wisconsin is no longer a “blue state”. It has at least become “purple”, and is very definitely in play as a battleground state.
The spell has been broken on the grip that the teachers’ unions have had on the various local school boards. This has been one of the best education reforms in recent years, freeing up a vast amount of funds for the actual delivery of educational services, while smoking out a large number of the militants who have little or no business in a schoolroom anyway.
Funny how a month ago they we saying the Walker campaign was out spending the dims 2 to 1, then last week it was 3 to 1, last night it was 7 to 1 and today it’s 8 to 1.....by the end of the month it will be 25 to 1....the numbers I heard last night were $21MM for the dims and $34MM for Walker.....I’ll send Mitt $3 just because Zero is trying to profit from the beatdown the dims were served in Wisconsin. If I sent $3 dollars everytime Zero lies I would be broke!
No, these are the Dems (the administration), who weren't spending the money...or time the other Dems expected. This is from that president who wouldn't visit that state, provide funds, but found time to tweet.
But, yeah, it is all about money. Obama doesn't want to spend any on anyone but himself, yet everyone else wants the quid pro quo from him. It's getting to be a mess, I tell ya...
whoa there, did they admit Wisconsin has joined the purple column? Yep I think they did.
Local radio news has been saying for months that only 3% of voters hadn’t decided who they were voting for a year ago. I think if neither party spent any money the result would have been the same, if not a bigger spread for Walker.
My favorite statistic from the recall vote was that 1.1 million people signed the recall petitions (they say) and Barrett’s vote total was about 1,158,000. All that campaigning netted them only 58,000 more people than they already had in their camp.
Article nails it. They were all over with the talking points at the crack of dawn today.
“We didn’t lose to Scott Walker. We lost to MONEY. And to CITIZENS UNITED. And the KOCH BROTHERS...”
The Mickey Mouse crew and the Loony Toons had a harder time getting to the ballot box than signing the recall petition.
fixed it!!
