The Individual Finally Wins
The voices in my head that keep yelling. | 6/7/12 | Alan Levy

Posted on 06/07/2012 8:20:43 PM PDT by Absolutely Nobama

Scott Walker's win in Wisconsin was magnificent for many reasons. Big Labor was given a fatal blow. Our homosexual agenda pushing president was handed another stinging rebuke. The Sit-Down-When-They-Pee-GOP-E saw that sticking to Conservative values can lead to landslide victories, even in the birthplace of the Progressivik Movement. If I wasn't so darn manly, I'd say I got a thrill up my leg. (Or is that diabetic neuropathy ? Maybe the death panels will let me find out if they deem me worthy of life, but I digress.)

Most of important of all, the individual won.

You see ladies and gentlemen, the true message of the Wisconsin Massacre was this: Get your damn hands out of my pockets, already. This vote proves that people have had enough of funding other people's lavish health care and retirements. This vote proves people have had enough of being called selfish because they want to keep more of the money they earned. This is a good thing. This proves that the reports of the death of Rugged Individualism have been greatly exaggerated.

We are winning, folks. The Dorky Left can have all the commie rallies they want. They can trash as many state capitols as they want. They can "Occupy" whatever they want. They can wander around chanting "Hope and Change" like malfunctioning automatons as much as they want. But when push comes to shove, America is a center-right country, much to to the chagrin of our Leftist Oppressors.

Now this doesn't mean we can sit on our laurels. Far fom it. We the People must still actively fight They the Progressiviks. Every time the Clenched Fist of Socialism appears, we have to beat it down. (Politically, of course.) Granted, it can be as frustrating as a game of Whackamole, but it can and must be done. Once freedom is lost, it's gone forever. Yes, this is a victory we should cherish, but we should always remember that we're on the edge of complete political, economic, and social disaster as a nation. This is a battle that must be fought, but as we can see, it's clearly winnable.

All we need is a few good individualists.

I couldn’t agree more if I wrote it myself.

I don’t have a clear answer and I’m not afraid to say so. I think we’re on the edge of complete economic, political, and social disaster. It’s that cut and dried. No, I don’t think Romney will be our savior(In many of my past posts, I have called him ‘Mitt Trotsky’ for obvious reasons), but I’m strongly convinced that he will be a definite step up from the Persecutor of Catholics that currently inhabits the White Hut.

There’s no reason we can’t primary Willard in 2016. If he strays, if he starts channeling Ted Kennedy again, if he slips and calls himself an “independent Progressive” again, there will be hell to pay. I think Willard understands, in his heart of hearts, that the ONLY reason any Conservative has any desire to vote for him is the fact that he ain’t Obama. In other words, it’s a marriage of political convenience. Nothing less and definitely nothing more.

Again, feel free to tell me that I’m full of it. Mrs. Nobama tells me that all the time.

:)

You are so right. Guess I’ll just give up and vote a straight Democrat ticket.

If you want Obama keep putting Romney down. I will take him over zero anytime.

Vote foe zero, but quit hurting Romney unless you want four more of the obama.

I wanted Palin, then Bachman, then Cain, then Sntormium. Let the best man win and it was Romney.

I had to hold my nose for McCain.

The smell of Obama makes Romney smell like a rose.

Also Romney had dems in his state that had enough votes to override a Romney’s Veto.

The Republicans will have both houses of congress.

Facts are not 'put downs'. If you want to vote Romney out of fear, that's your choice, but stop pretending that he's anything but a liberal phony. His record in office proves it.

I hope like heck that Willard understands that. Something tells me that he does. I think that a lot of conservatives are putting up a brave front and attempting to justify their vote for Willard, while secretly being scared to death that he's going to betray them in the end.

Willard had better understand that hell hath no fury like a patriot betrayed. Should he stray to the left while in office, he will see a hue and cry from the right that will make him want to hide in the White House basement for the balance of his term.

Honestly, I'm in no hurry to tell my fellow conservatives, "See? I told you so!", but damn if I don't feel like I'm going to be doing just that, in the years to come.

Again, feel free to tell me that I’m full of it. Mrs. Nobama tells me that all the time. :)

Naw...you'll be one of the few that I can point to and say, "Now why didn't y'all listen to brother Nobama? He tried to tell your dumb asses all along!"

Let's pray that neither of us ever has to go there.

You might as well be, voting for Willard. The man's record documents the fact that he's a liberal through and through.

The only question is; will you vote for him with the full understanding of what you're doing, or are you going to construct a web of pretty lies about him to fool your conscience?

Yes. Poor Mitt fought those dastardly liberals so hard when he was in office....

We the People must still actively fight They the Progressiviks. Every time the Clenched Fist of Socialism appears, we have to beat it down. (Politically, of course.) Granted, it can be as frustrating as a game of Whackamole, but it can and must be done.

The elephant in the room, the new tweak in the Whackamole game, is an apparent Republican nominee who, though his platitude-filled speechifying deliberately obscures it, is himself Progressiviks as demonstrated in every major thrust of his record -- a record that would read "obviously Democrat" to any observer who was ignorant as to Romney's party affiliation.

Yet in political discussion today, this a taboo subject. It is easier to pretend it is all and only about Obama, but that is only pretend. It is actually all and only about whoever is in office for the next four years facing what will very likely be a Congress much increased with conservative Republicans.

If Romney wins on a landslide, that mandate will mean to him, moderates, and the GOP-E that the style of statism Romney brought to Massachusetts is what "the people" want. Conservative Republicans will be the only faction in Congress to fight that mandate against their own president.

Both Obama and Romney are, at their foundations, anti-conservatives. I will do everything I can to vote to advance the interest of conservatives. The only sensible thing for conservatives to do, IMO, is, at the price of forfeiting any say in which anti-conservative goes up against our conservative Republicans, voting (by going third party -- Virgil Goode, Tom Hoekstra, or someone else on the ballot) to weaken the voter mandate of whichever anti-conservative gets the White House.

That mandate will be what is most important in 2014.

Romney isn’t much of a fighter.

Then how did he manage to get the nomination?

I will vote for Romney knowing that, if he loses, at least I bear no responsibility for four more years of Obama. I don’t think I could live with myself if Obama won and I had failed to vote for his only viable opponent. I don’t see how anyone else could either.

I guess you have no idea what ABOorR stands for, do you? I suppose I confused you, and I'm sorry for that.

I don't want to confuse you any further, so let's just end off our little talk and do something more fruitful, eh?

Alrighty. Good night.

It's an analogy, not a comparison.
