Is Obama committing political suicide?
Coach is Right ^ | 6/10/2012 | Ron Reale

While President Obama has been especially adroit at destroying the values, and Religious underpinnings of Americans, and tearing down individual freedoms funding apparatus, Capitalism, I never thought I would see him turn his purposely harmful tactics unto his own election campaign.

Are we watching a political suicide in the making?

Can anyone believe the smartest President of modern times, the Harvard professor, is really trying to get re-elected?

After Friday’s speech where he said the “private sector is fine,” and then had to address and walk back that statement? – I have to wonder about his real intentions.

I want to address the unnoticed head shot Obama inflicted upon himself, with no prodding or goading from anyone!

Correct me if I’m wrong, (and I’m sure you will!), but didn’t our esteemed President just wait until 48 hours after the failed Wisconsin recall election to take a side, and didn’t he...

Careful about sex allegations?

Why? Bambi is gay as a three dollar bill and proud of it. Why should that be covered up?

Apparently you don’t remember how the New York elite would hang on to every word uttered by Cassius and consider it deep wisdom...

Admittedly, I was just a kid during Ali's initial rise to fame, but I clearly recall that most people were simply amused by his brash utterances. Nothing more. He was very entertaining.

Silly FReepers...

Talking as though nothing could happen that might postpone an election.

I'm not celebrating 'till January rolls around and brings a new administration with it.

The way that thing got started was a series of idiots in the Sultanate. We are working hard on emulating it ~ so far we've had Carter and Obama doing the idiot part, and with a bit of effort we could have eased Bill Clinton into that sex job, and LBJ would have fit nicely as well.

One of our biggest problems in this country is the shifting of our political thought to where we think of the president as an all-powerful dictator, like a sultan or a king. The office of the presidency was never supposed to be a particularly powerful one. The entire concept of separation of powers was in order to prevent an imperial presidency. The president is the head of the executive branch, charged with being commander-in-chief of the armed forces and being head of state - he was never supposed to be all-knowing god of the economy, the banking system, the business world, the environment, religion, and everything else. Legislation was supposed to flow from Congress rather than Congress acting as rubber-stampers for every crackpot idea the president has. And I honestly have no idea how the office morphed into a position where your family had unlimited access to public funds in order to travel the world on vacation and go on shopping sprees.

Thanks to the fact that most Americans don't have an even basic understanding of civics, the office of the President is just assumed, now, to have unlimited power and authority. That's why we didn't revolt when Obama nationalized GM. That's why we didn't revolt when Obama has done a thousand other extra-Constitutional things. We are operating now on a governmental model that has nothing to do with our Constitution, and that is because people are both ignorant and lazy.

Still, you’ better believe Michelle wouldn’t be going along with that part where they go through the palace killing all the harem girls so there is hope even from inside the imperial presidency sultanate.

Have you seen photos of the alleged 'journalists' who are writing these sorts of hopeful stories about Obama? Most of them look like they're two years out of high school, and just stepped in from an Occupy protest.

Serious political watchers and pundits of long tenure aren't saying anything like this. Watch them. They're all looking a bit green around the gills, and are openly wondering if he can still pull off a win. A few are beginning to express real doubt that he can, and others have even wondered whether he should.

Maybe Obama’s new slogan should be “Dope and Change.” He has no new ideas but to spend money and tell us, “people who generate money should pay more taxes.” The rich must pay more because Obama over spent paying off his supporters with stimulus.

If The One is in the process of committing political suicide, then that is a positive thing. Let us hope he also destroys the Donkey Party along the way. If he doesn't kill the DP outright, then seriously wound it!
