A Happy Father’s Day to all. Here’s a story for you on Father’s Day...
A Scotsman had been marooned on an island for years. One afternoon, he awoke from his nap to take a walk on the cliffs bordering a small bay. Down in the bay, he spied a series of bubbles coming up frequently from the water, so walked down to the water’s edge to check it out. Only to find a young, auburn haired lady snorkeling in the water.
She saw the Scotsman, all the worse for wear, with a large, unkempt beard, and said “Hello sir, have you been here long?” He replied “Well, lassie, about a dozen years or more. She said “Have you had a smoke lately?” He said “No, lassie, it must be 12-14 years or more.”
She pulled down the zipper on her wet suit to beneath her breast, reached in to her left side and pulled out a pack of Dunhills, giving him one with a lighter. He lit up, took a long pull on the cigarette, and said “My, lassie, that’s pure heaven.”
She slid her zipper down a little further, then asked “Have you had a sip of Scotch Whisky lately?” He said “No, lassie, I can’t recall when I’ve had one”.
She reached inside her right side and gave him a silver flask saying “That’s 18 year old Macallan Single Malt.” He took the flask, smelled the fine bouquet, and took a long sip. He said “Oh my, lassie, that is sure a wonderful pleasure. It reminds me of my youthful adventures.”
She pulled her zipper all the way down to her naval, and asked “When was the last time you played around?” He replied “Glory be, lassie, don’t tell me ya got a set a golf clubs in thar?”
Went to the Rochelle Golf & Steakhouse for their BBQ brunch. Brats, chicken breast, pork chop or hamburger, with baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad & macaroni salad with all the trimmings, all for $5.95. Can’t eat at home for that, plus the food was great. Came home, enjoyed an Ashton VSG maduro along with one of those Wild Turkeys that inhabit my kitchen cabinet, now we’re waiting for the US Open to start, and our son & granddaughter to call later. I just might catch a couple more turkeys before the day is done.
