I think twitter is for stupid people. I was appalled when the Bar Association got a facebook page. These social media gimmicks are a flash in the pan. For idiots

"I think twitter is for stupid people"

Ouch . . . you might try and expand that horizon just a little bit.

Twitter and Facebook aside, Michelle Malkin isn’t stupid or an idiot.

If you knew or understood anything about her, you would know that.

Well, my friend. I’m sorry you feel that way. But, I’m no youngster and I’m not real high-tech, but, I’ve found Facebook to be a great tool for networking. Granted, like the Internet, there is much about it I don’t like, but the good outweighs the bad. It’s time for you to get into the 21st Century. We have to use the same weapons as our political enemies. You can’t fight a war if your enemy has Nukes and all you have is World War II bomber aircraft.

Which rock did you crawl out from under?

Social media is like any other media, you can use it to put your message out or you can look at it and scratch yer head and wonder while others use it to their advantage.
Even Billy Graham uses twitter to spread the Gospel ..
Clearly you are still just scratching yer head...

I hate to break it to you but you are on social media (freerepublic) and you may have used less than 140 char. to make your point.

I think Michelle is awesome. And I admit maybe I have blinders on when it comes to “tweeting” uch, what a dumb term.

I suppose I am a dinosaur. I don’t have email on my phone, but then again I don’t have to pay for a media “package”. But guess what, my kids do have facebook and think it is boring, which is exactly what I think about my facebook experience. Also, I know for an uncontroverted fact, attorneys always check your facebook page for things they can use against you in litigation if you are a party/witness in litigation.

So maybe I’m the idiot because I don’t “get” why “tweeting” your inane thoughts all over the place matters.

On a more serious note. Follow the impact of twitter at Michelle’s site twitchy.com.

It doesn't. Never 'tweeted', never will. Of course, I don't have a cell phone, either.

I don’t have a twitter account...mostly because I’m a fumble-fingers (as many here who’ve seen some of my posts can attest) I do have a Facebook account..and you can reach people you haven’t seen in years.

I can “like” an article...or repost it on my Facebook page and it will provide either a link to the article and/or the text. For me, I can at least post what I read...things that aren’t published in the mainstream media...and people on my lists will see those links...and if interested, can read further. I consider it spreading the word, especially some of the fine articles posted here.

Most of my friends don’t read FR...but they do read FB.

Kudos to you for expressing

I am social media illiterate as they come. I too did not "get" twitter. However, one day my natural curiosity kicked in and I did my research and study of the subject. Wow, arguably and arguably only, twitter may have a bigger impact than all other medias.

It allows a message (on a national level) from spinning out of control or controlling a message. It has blocked or influenced the media on some key stories.

Reading the history of tweet, you will then understand why it is called tweet. Turns out the name is an exact and appropriate description

Granted, some people use FB stupidly. But like any communication medium, it can also be used wisely. In itself, it is “intellect neutral.” I like to think of it as the new White Horse Inn, which, as you may know, was a place where a game-changing group of people congregated to discuss revolutionary ideas. And others just went there for the ale. It’s all in how you use it.

Um, I meant Twitter, though the same idea applies to both. Sorry for the typo.

I agree. I am not on Facebook either. Don't care to give my personal life for all to see. The value of the concept alludes me.

been awhile, but yes use several terms as you come across in your readings. But start with "twitter"

I allow my search(es) to evolve from concepts or words I subsequently read on the subject matter.

For a general background try reading this article from Breitbart site at . . .

I found it very interesting
