The Leftist media just can't figure out why people would think Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim. They think, as this witless article in Slate shows, that it must be because of his name, or his race. It never occurs to them, or they deliberately wish to obfuscate the fact, that Obama has repeatedly reinforced this impression throughout his presidency. Whether he is a Muslim or not, he has acted favorably toward Islam and Islamic supremacism from the day he took office. Pamela Geller included a lengthy but still partial list of the many ways he has done so in an article she wrote in June 2010:
March 2009: Obama declares the "war on terror" is over, despite a dramatic increase in jihad war ops. March 2009: he floats the idea that he will talk to violent, genocidal Hamas. March 2009: he demands that more Muslim Americans work in the Obama administration and insists that they be recruited. April 2009: Obama tells Europe to admit Islamic Turkey into the EU, much to the consternation of the Europeans. April 2009: Obama demands that non-Muslims respect Islam (despite our differences) in a speech in Turkey. April 2009: Obama says in a speech from Turkey, "We are not a Christian nation." April 2009: Dalia Mogahed, the first hijab-clad senior adviser to Obama on Muslim affairs, says in an interview with terrorist- and jihad-supporting Sheik Yusuf Qaradawi's website,

It’s not just that Obama knows about Hadith, he can actually quote them without a teleprompter.
It really doesn’t matter if he is a Muslim or not. His actions as president are exactly what a Islamist would do as president.

I think “gays in the military” Obama’s real religion is PC secular humanism. If merely trying to send a comforting message to the Islamic world makes one a Muslim, George W. “religion of peace” Bush, not Obama, would be our first Muslim president.

Obama has deliberately tricked people into think he’s Muslim, and it’s amazing how many on FR fall for it. He’s a leftist. They have a certain tolerance for Muslims, but if he was a Muslim, he’d be way more conservative on most issues.

Why I think he’s a Muslim?
Because he sat with George Stephanopoulos and said “my Muslim faith”.
Now just think about that. If you were Jewish, would you accidentally say “my Presbyterian faith”? If you were Baptist would you accidentally say you were a member of “the Catholic church?”.
I mean, I believe this is not a mistake that a person makes. It just isn’t. Perhaps if you were being waterboarded, you might confess that you were a member of another faith, heck, you might lie about anything. But I flat out can not imagine that a person would make this mistake. And so, I believe he revealed the truth in an offhand moment. That simple.

You have a good point on if Bambi were a Muslim he’d be more conservative. But in reality many adherents to a given religion do not follow all the tenants thereof or maybe don’t even know what they are. (e.g. Catholics who use contraception, abortions? Muslims who drink or eat pork?).
Islam holds anyone born a Muslim to always be a Muslim and to depart from the faith is heresy. O’s father and step-father (who adopted him) were both Muslim. O was raised in Indonesia as a Muslim in a Muslim country. There is no evidence or indication that he was ever introduced to Christian teachings until he met Rev. Wright as an adult. This is from O’s own book. Rev. Wright then convinced O he could become a member of his church (Black Liberation Theology) without having to turn his back on his Muslim background. So he really IS a Muslim. Beyond that he is a Muslim sympathizer, fellow traveler, etc. and has said that when crunch time comes he’ll side with the Muslims.
I should have made clear that I think that Osama,like most Western Maoist atheists today,has a huge soft spot in his heart for the Religion of Pieces but I firmly believe that,today,he's not a moslem himself.Western Maoists love the Religion of Pieces because it shares their hatred for all things decent.It's the old "the enemy of my enemy" thing.
