It’s not my world, but rather that of the Founders. They gave Congress that power. They gave us the power to elect Congress.
That’s just how it works, whether you like it or not.
Roberts essentially said that the Constitution doesn’t keep Congress from doing stupid stuff:
We do not consider whether the Act embodies sound policies. That judgment is entrusted to the Nations elected leaders. We ask only whether Congress has the power under the Constitution to enact the challenged provisions.
