It’s Time For States To Just Say NO!

6/28/2012, the day Federalism died.

It is also the day that exposed the true nature of centralized Statist power, how one man could change not only the fundamental nature of the relationship between the people and the government, but how this one man did so after first siding with the Constitution and then changing his mind in order to protect the image of the Supreme Court. Yes, you heard that correctly; Chief Justice Roberts, whose job as a justice of the highest court in the land is to rule on the Constitutionality of a law, ruled instead on the basis of protecting the public perception of the court. If the reader is straining to find this power in the Constitution, look no more – it is not there.

In doing so, he also rewrote the law itself in a blatant act of judicial activism by legislating from the bench and absconding with a power reserved for the Congress. This is the worst example of malfeasance a member of the judicial branch can commit. It is this act alone that now casts away the veil and exposes the tyranny of centralized power that concerned our Founders. If a Supreme Court justice can rule based upon public pressure and concern about appearances, then all semblance of constitutional governance is gone and the remedy, as described by Thomas Jefferson and others is for the states to just say NO to the federal government.....

The last time the states “just said no” it was a bloody mess, and the states lost.

The states will be just in their cause this time around, and I pray for a better outcome.
