Interior Dept. IG to be Investigated in Alleged White House Drilling Moratorium Cover-Up
The PJ Tatler ^ | July 6, 2012 | Bridget Johnson

A trio of senators have won their request for an investigation into Interior Secretary Ken Salazar’s inspector general regarding a potential cover-up of documents that led to the drilling moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico following the BP oil spill.

Sens. David Vitter (R-La.), Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas) asked the Integrity Committee of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency in a May 24 letter to investigate the Interior Department’s Acting Inspector General Mary Kendall, whom they say “failed to ensure an independent, impartial and complete investigation into the Administration’s offshore drilling moratorium and related activities.”

In a response to the senators, shared with PJM, the Integrity Committee agreed to meet July 12 to review the allegations that Kendall failed to manage — and perhaps impeded — a full investigation of the White House and Salazar’s twisting of the findings of the National Academy of Engineers report into supposedly endorsing the moratorium.

Kendall, the senators noted in their request, was reportedly involved in the so-called 30-Day Report, “which erroneously indicated that independent peer review experts endorsed the Administration’s six-month moratorium on deepwater drilling.” Then, Kendall conducted an oversight investigation of the report.

“The moratorium crushed thousands of jobs – many of which Louisiana is still suffering from – and now we’re seeing extremely alarming evidence that the investigation I requested on the job-killing moratorium may not have been independent and could have involved the acting IG tampering with the facts,” Vitter said at the time. “It’s pretty outrageous and offensive to know that politics seems to be likely influencing the office of the IG in addition to the science.”

If the results of the Integrity Committee’s investigation match what the senators believe to be true, it could deliver a serious blow to the administration.

“The moratorium crushed thousands of jobs

When you think about all the jobs associated with drilling
it is WAY more than 1000’s of jobs....
but obama can't seem
to find a way to let drilling in the gulf begin KNOWING that
he could put many people back to work......

Let's get into the fines BP paid...which should have been paid out of a previously established fund.

Mother nature sure was amazing....Beat us all to hell....

Obama's goal is to diminish the US, or worse. It has become so obvious. The economic depression we are in is part of a coherent plan to lower us in the eyes of the world we used to lead.

He talks the talk only so he can get re-elected. Then he will be able finish the job of permanently ruining America, the real dreams of his father.

He must not be re-elected.

Now documents released to a congressional committee show that Kendall attended meetings at which department officials reviewed drafts of the very same report she later was responsible for investigating.

House Natural Resources Chairman Doc Hastings, R-Wash., already critical of the quality of the investigation, said the new documents “raise serious doubts about the impartiality and independence of the IG investigation into the drilling moratorium report.” He wants Kendall to explain her earlier testimony to Congress that she had no involvement in the report.

There was a team of four people in a Zodiac, all Union thugs, one of whom had tactical military experience from his time in the 82nd Airborne, who blew up the BP oil rig that caused the Gulf oil spill. This plot was hatched in the Oval Office and has Valerie Jarrett's, Rahm Emanuel's and Andy Stern's former second in command, Anna Burger's fingerprints all over it.

The same team that (with the addition of Lanny "plot" Breuer and Eric "Dick" Holder—Breuer is the actual "Papa Giapetto" in DOJ, with Holder as his dancing capuchin fall guy) came up with the "Fast & Furious" plan to restrict American gun sales and more heavily regulate ownership. These Liberal filth concoct one after another "great crisis" to be used in the furtherance of their "Destroy America" master plan.

A book on all this will be published once most of the primaries accused in the explosive exposé are either dead or in jail for Treason-related felonies. Figure one-to-two years, tops. Bookmark for future accuracy check.

BTW, this ain't my first rodeo when it comes to FR predictions. I predicted the Linda Tripp/Monica Lewinsky Tapes fiasco here on FreeRepublic on a Friday about a decade ago. It feels nice to be back in the saddle...

...giddy-up, li'l doggies...

(P.S.) All four of the goons who blew up the BP oil rig were compensated with two 22 slugs to the medula oblongata before being fed, piece by piece, to the gators in Bayou Sorrel, Louisiana.

And now you know... the rest of the story.

That would be like a postdiction.

Of course it would. There, there now...

Everyone on FreeRepublic knows that predicting something on a Friday that comes true on the following Sunday is actually a "postdiction," huh? We're just two stoopit too no it, right?

Thanks for clearing that up. BTW, you've got that "lurkin" thang down. Just need a little touch-up on that "learnin" thang.

“Just need a little touch-up on that “learnin” thang.”

Sorry about that. I was just going by your sign up date in July of 2001 and thought it odd that you predicted something that took place in 98/99. I’m still learnin ever so slowly. ;^)
