All part of the Cloward-Piven plan.
This just creates an opportunity for all new doctors to be Eric Holder's people.

I’d say almost every doctor over the age of 55 will quit.

I'm skeptical about this. I would guess that they thought about it for about 20 seconds until they asked themselves 'what else can I do where I can earn a quarter of million (or more) a year?' Some close to retirement might leave early but I doubt there would be any major exodus.
There are plenty of reasons to oppose Obamacare (and its beta version, Romneycare) but this isn't one of them, IMO.

Nothing would make Obama, et al happier!
I was informed by the wife of a fellow who is gearing up to become a Physician's Assistant that in Canada, PAs are even performing surgery.
This guy, when he finishes in 9 months, will look to "practice" in CA as they also have a very liberal approach to having PAs pretty much handle lots of roles formerly taken by actual doctors.

Medical School acceptance and graduation standards will be lowered.
Physician-only care requirements will be altered. (LPNs will be certified for outpatient surgeries without an MD present, chiropractors will be allowed to reset broken bones)

The other 17% have already left?
More than 40% of US physicians are over the age of 55. So these 30 million new Obamacare patients are going to be cared for by ... well, by who, exactly????
It's "cool" to promise everyone a chicken in every pot, a car in every garage, and free medical care for every boo-boo. Except there aren't enough chickens, pots, cars, garages and doctors to make that happen. Never mind that there isn't enough money.

My family doctor is thinking of just going to a fee based practice. You go to him you just pay him. No insurance . We told him fine by us.

This figure doesn't sound right to me.I can believe that a substantial percentage of older physicians...those who might be inclined to retire within the next, say, five years anyway...might bow out early. But as for the others...medicine is a very, very well paying occupation and one that requires upward of $400K in tuition plus more years of torture during post graduate training.
I worked for many years in a very famous hospital so I have some understanding of the profession. But,OTOH,I've been wrong before and could be wrong now.
