How do you get NASCAR tickets at less than face value? Make them Barack Obama’s tickets.

NASCAR is the biggest spectator sport in America. So how do you get NASCAR tickets at less than face value? Make them Barack Obama’s tickets.

When President Barack Obama turned down free tickets to this weekend’s Sprint Cup race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the track hoped to auction off the “presidential” tickets to raise big money for charity. Instead, the tickets went for less than face value. The four tickets, which are emblazoned with Obama’s name and the White House address, were sold for $300. Bidding began at $100 and the tickets, which are for some of the best seats at the track, are valued at $110 each.

Explain to me again how it’s possible for polls to show how personally popular Obama is when he can’t even add value to NASCAR tickets.

I don’t think Obama is expecting to win any patriotic demographic, and certainly not NASCAR fans.

Would the track have had to frisk everyone and taken away their forks, or would they have handed out guns and amo? ;-)

Not sure I get the point of this. Face value was $110. The tickets sold for $300. How is that below face value?

Read again. Four tickets, face value $110 each, sold for a total of $300.

Perhaps I am becoming cynical, but this story does not seem true. If the Obamunist was invited, would they really have to have tickets for him? I suspect that he and his entourage would be admitted sans tickets if they showed up. A president has all sorts of people managing his schedule, and his security detail needs to know his entire itinerary. So, the race promoters would know well in advance whether or not Dear Leader would be attending, and he certainly would not need tickets to get in.

The four tickets, which are emblazoned with Obama’s name ...

Here's the problem -- the tickets were defaced. I'm surprised they got as much as they did for them.

I am SO GLAD he is not coming. It is bad enough getting into and out of Louden, NH. without adding Presidential security to the mix.

The track is about 15 miles off interstate 93. The state police change the direction of travel on the roads going to the track prior to the race and from the track after. It will still take us 2 1/2 to 3 hours to go what would normally take an hour. There are 100,000 people at the race typically.

Plus as other people have stated, NASCAR fans are not Obamas favorite demographic. I think it would be embarassing but GREAT to have 100k people BOOING him on national TV. His handlers would be complete idiots for him to show up at such an event.

Three reasons zero won’t go to a NASCAR event...

Starts with a Christian prayer,

Then singing of our Natiional Anthem,

And a US Military fly-over.

(Not to mention the 43 cars that get less than 5 MPG.)

If he won’t show up for an NAACP event he sure never had any intention of showing up for this. He and the Mooch are only welcome at grad schools these days if they bring some candy.

The ultimate slam would be protecting the destroyer of America after having taken an oath to protect and defend against enemies “foreign and domestic”. Are they guilty too or do they take yet another oath?
