Exactly how such a dangerous man ever got to become POTUS is beyond me. America was asleep, Liberty’s sentries were dozing while on duty, and in sneaks The Great Pretender, with his Trojan Horse chock-full of nasty surprises...
...and all of the checks-and-balances, all of the Due Processes, all of the Constitutional protections that were developed over 200+ years of hard work were all for naught.
America was never defeated by armed might, and could never be. But rather by stealth, hubris and complacency.
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? Indeed. God Bless America — particularly now, when it matters the most.
