Duh, I never saw an official seal of the State of Hawaii on any of the “certificates of live birth”. My families birth certificates have state seals.

Good point! I just pulled my Hawaiian birth certificate circa 1947 and there it is, the Territorial seal, duly embossed. I differs from the State seal, but it’s official.
