I spoke today with a friend who lives in Katy and he said pretty much the same thing. He’s not much for the pro-ILLEGAL alien thing either.

Just goes to show that REAL conservative voters, along with conservative Superpacs, who have come close to leveling the
money advantage of Dewpiss can make ANY race competitive.

The reason I voted for Cruz had nothing to do with Perry endorsing Dewhurst.

I voted for Cruz because Dewhurst flexed his muscles against conservatives and conservative legislation in the last session siding with moderate Democrats over conservatives, and that truly ticked off Tea Party people in Texas.

I’m not disputing you, but that’s the first linkage I’ve seen to Dewhurst. I know, of course, like virtually all of the of the Republicans in the Legislature, he RUBBER-STAMPED it - but did he have a major role in creating that nightmare also?

Dewhurst is one of the main reasons it is so hard to get pro-gun bills through the legislooture. Texas is ready for AZ,AK,VT-style carry.

I voted for Cruz over Dewhurst because Dan Patrick spent years pointing out how Dewhurst was not conservative and against property tax reform or appraisal caps here in Texas. I have been shocked to hear him now praising Dewhurst and attacking Cruz. I get furious when I hear that commercial saying Cruz lost it, when it sounds to me like Dan Patrick would not let him answer. I have lost total respect for Dan Patrick as a politician and that is a real shame.
