Noah Green: That evil Sarah Palin is stealing all of the Huckster’s Chick-fil-A credit, or something

This is hilarious. I guess it’s a slow news day for David Frum and his underlings. Noah Green, who Frum brought over to the Daily Beast after his spectacular failure at “Frum Forum,” apparently has his drawers in a bunch because he believes lefty Tim Stanley at the U.K tabloid, The Telegraph, gave Governor Palin what he considers to be too much credit for “Chick-fil-A-gate.” I’m not making this up:

I think Stanley is missing the real story here. Palin was just one of many conservatives who went to eat at Chick-Fil-A, her attendance is not that exceptional. The conservative who has taken a much more actively leadership role in this culture war is one who is much less incendiary and less prone to bomb throwing: Mike Huckabee.

Mike Huckabee announced plans for Chick-Fil-A appreciation day on his Facebook page on July 22nd.

I don’t recall hearing Governor Palin take any credit whatsoever for “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day,” nor do I recall her diminishing Huck’s role in it. What I do recall is the Governor headlining a Tea Party rally for Ted Cruz where she delivered a rousing speech, then stopping by a Chick-fil-A and tweeting a couple pictures. And this, evidently, is proof that Governor Palin is engaged in some kind of nefarious plot to steal the Huckster’s credit? My own reaction was that her tweet was in support of the Chick-fil-A Day cause. Am I missing something?

And while we’re at it, who cares who gets the credit? I know I don’t. Why is this worth Green wetting his pants over? I can only surmise it’s because Green, Frum, and the other guardians of the squishy middle in the punditocracy don’t want Governor Palin to get credit for anything because she’s too “incendiary” (meaning effective) while the genteel Huck’s “less prone to bomb throwing.” He’s also only slightly less respected in conservative circles than … David Frum. How’d that David Dewhurst endorsement work out for Huck? Or that Jon Bruning endorsement in Nebraska? I digress. After more effusive praise of the Huckster’s moderation, Green steps in it:

It was the exact opposite of the usual Palin method. Huckabee didn’t say that people who don’t eat Chick-Fil-A were un-American…

Um … neither did Governor Palin, Champ.

…he didn’t suggest that liberal elites look down on those who enjoyed fast food.

And once again, neither did Governor Palin. It’s always quite revealing when these crap weasels have to make up, er, crap to discredit someone, no?

The only certainties in life are death, taxes and abject morons showing up on Palin threads to bash a person who believes the same they claim to...because it’s Palin. Nevermind she’s one of our strongest voices. Nevermind she’s right 90+% of the time. Nope. Just bash her because ...just because.

Now that is funny Norm. The morons (they are actually very insidious) are still here. I just went it alone with them. They are Freepers in good standing on the religious threads. They tore down every single candidate until we got to Romney. Now they have begun the anti-morman spamming. Really. They have played us.

Or the PDSers aren’t who and what they say they are. Well we know they aren’t ‘what’, but the ‘who’ is still an open question.

Yes. They are the same as the "morons." They are not conservatives. I'm not asking for backing, just to confront them when they spam the threads. I will expose them for what they are day by day.

Thanks. Bumping the Freepathon thread also.

That list now includes Dick Cheney of all people.

Sadly I think we should cut Vice President Cheney a break because of age and medical. I have pure contempt for the occupation media.

Ain't too much boldness in old Mittens, might offend people who hate his guts anyway, might also get the MSM talking against him, which they do anyway.

Mittens doesn't have a leg to stand on in this issue, and many other signature areas, where a normal Republican nominee would be spanking Obama's hide.

He can't attack Obama in most of the areas where he's the most vulnerable, because his record shows him to be just as guilty, but on a state level.

Willard is a fraud, and should never have wound up being our nominee. At such an historic time as this, it's a complete travesty that he is.

Isn’t one of his daughters a lesbian?

Apparently so. I can understand the love of ones child, however, the getting so called married, buying a child because their 'sexual' preferences will not produce, is NOT sanctioned by the Creator. These skin deep conservatives that embrace the perverse souls are NOT doing themselves, their offspring, or their hired help, let alone this nation any favors. Notice my tag line....

I still respect Cheney for the most part. I don’t think he’s gone funky in the head...yet even with his age and heart problems, but IMO he spoke a little too candidly about his true feelings about Palin. People on the right should be smart enough not to play into the media’s hands like this. Far from perfect, but I don’t think Newt would have swiped at Palin no matter his true feelings about her. Old Barbara Bush had to make her nasty little comment about Palin a couple of years back. I kind of expect it from the Old Blue-Blood New England Bushies, but not from Cheney. Glad the Cheney daughter fired back in Palin’s defense.

It is truly astounding how some ‘conservatives’ are obsessed and possessed in dissing Sarah... at every opportunity. No self control whatsoever when it comes to making or taking cheap belittling, trashing, and ridiculing pot shots on anything and everything Sarah. Poor, poor pitiful egos on display.

They are starting to make teenage girls look like Mother Theresa.

Ever spent any time around them and how "cutting" they can be on one another?

But these are grown men.

If you put it in that context all I can say is just Eeewww.....

Nice. You’re spending the whole thread trashing someone who isn’t even saying a thing about Gov. Palin.

Gossip is gossip, and you old biddy hens might want to discuss the topic instead of whining about people who aren’t even here.

Some of us would like to hear about her, Chick-fil-A, Ted Cruz, and the resurgence of the TEA Party and Conservatism instead of having to wade past your gossip.

If Sarah Palin came out is support of puppies, Big Lib Media would say she supports the destruction of kittens. There’s no way Palin is going to win over a determined, if insane, group of liberals who run the media.

Your chastisement is duly noted.

I copied and pasted the 'gossip' from this thread, apparently you did NOT wade through. By the way, do you monitor all gossip posted?

GOSSIP from Noah Green

Bash Sarah without cause on a Missouri Senate thread, get a pass. Express disgust of the never ending Sarah bashing, without cause, on a 'gossip' thread and get chastised.... IF that is what the 'Tea Party and Conservatism' has evolved into then I got left behind at the hot stinky primordial bowl of soup.

Frum and friends left the right when he started getting pally with Clinton. Now, like several other once-rightwing writers, he and his group think that in order to gain a reputation that is worthy, they must prostrate themselves at the DNC media HQ to be taken seriously, or be given a voice. Sorry, but I have not cared one whit what David Frum, Noah Green, Kathleen Parker, etc. say for some time now. They have become part of the left’s useful idiots.

When your friend stops disrupting threads as he did again two days ago and then getting upset to the point where the ‘STFU”s start flying after most on said thread call him on it, you might have a point.

However until he and others sharing his love of trashing Palin with wild accusation, snarky comments and no proof stop doing everything they can to ensure that we get more Romneys and less conservatives...well...someone out here; several someones in fact, will continue to point that out.

And the fact that you knew exactly who I was referring to without me naming him should speak volumes. Again TOL, I know he’s your friend. But it would be better for everyone if you took your friend aside and told him, as he is fond of telling us, to “STFU”.

Unless you think trashing people with BS accusations is acceptable. And let me be perfectly clear that I do not think you do. When the PDS stops, there’s nothing to ‘gossip’ about. The ‘gossip’ follows the PDS.
