That's a typical gay-guy stance.

“I wouldn’t go to huffnblow on a dare.” My thinking exactly, but from the linked article:

Curiously, there was never a grassroots effort that sprung forth from conservatives to defend WalMart... This is clearly not the case with Chick-fil-A. People started jamming the stores on their own in support even before Huckabee and Palin got involved. And they are pissed. They’ve had enough. The tipping point has been tipped...

The Chick-fil-A controversy has clearly, absolutely, motivated the conservative base... The best thing President Obama could do for to defuse this right now is to walk into a Chick-fil-A and order a #1 with sweet tea. [end excerpt]

LOL, it almost would be lol enough for O to do just that. Yet what we’d more likely see is O go there to do his infamous dancing routine to motivate kiss-in protestors. Now that would be a (sore) sight for the eyes as well!

Ron is clueless...2010 landslide....Wisconsin recall smackdown...opposition to commiecare trending at 70%...after the first Tuesday in November obama will be known as the guy that suffered the worst political defeat since Julius Caesar got stabbed on the steps...

Looks like the first “returns” are coming in showing ... that a few token participants (in otherwise empty pointless protest) are not chickening out and doing the kiss in: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/gay-rights-protesters-flood-chick-fil-a-sex-kiss-day-counter-huckabee-inspired-chick-fil-a-appreciation-day-article-1.1128354

That article was posted as a thread here just a few minutes ago: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2914338/posts

True. Let's hope it doesn't happen.

What a dilemma. If he dared to do that, the homosexual vote, (such as it is,) is outta there.

I would not be surprised if Obama went to Chick fil A and made out with Harry Reid.

Why? The backlash from gays on obama would be devastating. It’s the stuff of an Aesop’s Fable.

The people supporting CFA aren't going to vote for Obama anyway. The ones protesting CFA would view such a move as a betrayal to "the cause".

Since it wouldn't create any political gain, Obama most certainly won't do it.

It wouldn’t diffuse anything. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is as spiteful and vindictive as the gay mafia. If they thought for an instant that obama was dissing them....their revenge would be epic.

And they are pissed.

Yep!

I ate at a crowded CFA today, first time in a long time I've eaten there (just not much of a fast food guy).

Funny thing, I'm hardly the most religious person in the world and the issue of gay marriage is pretty far down on the list of things I care about. Yet I can't help but see that what the gay lobby, Rahm and Mumbles Menino are doing to CFA is pure bullying and I don't like it at all. You would've had to have lived on Mars these last several years to not know that CFA was a Christian-owned organization. Since I've been a kid they were the only store closed on Sunday in the mall food court. So people ask the very Christian CFA owner what his opinion on gay marriage is and then act outraged when he answers truthfully? What a crock.

I was glad to see lines for blocks outside of CFA the other day. Hope it keeps up! I really don't think this feigned "outrage" against CFA was very well thought out on behalf of liberals.

Here in Indianapolis, it was heartening to hear several black families interviewed on CFA support day and hear them say:

“we support the biblical definition of marriage”.

I’ll bet the DNC wishes they had waited until they saw how things went on August 1st before announcing they would add a Gay marriage plank to the party platform.

Very heartening, indeed. Given the split of the black vote in the last election, there's a 90-plus percent chance that they voted for Obama then but they won't this time. :=)

Disagree. Nobody’s vote for President is switched by the gay marriage issue anymore — the people who care that much are long-since committed one way or another. “Socially conservative” Democrats have made their peace with this issue just like they did with abortion; something they have to give up on to get the benefits of alliance politics. The intensity of the commitment of the left - to volunteer and donate - is affected dramatically. The platform plank is an asset not a liability for them.
