America’s newsrooms are hating on Christians. How else would you describe the media firestorm that occurred when the President of Chick-fil-A, Dan Cathy, declared his Christian faith and was widely denounced for it - by the media? It was the media that went to homosexual organizations agitating for same-sex marriage to get their quotes denouncing Mr. Cathy. It was the media that decided that the conventional Christian belief that marriage is between a man and a woman is so outrageous that to utter it in public is grounds for endless newspaper articles and editorials.
But compare and contrast: Christianity and …. Oh, let’s say Islam. The media tells us that Islam is the “religion of peace.” That practitioners of Islam are just like you and me and any utterance to the contrary is hate speech. So what is the Muslim position on same sex marriage? Do you even have to ask when the Muslim position on homosexuality is death? The only argument is whether death should be by having a wall dropped on them, by being thrown off of a high building or the ever-popular hanging. Have a leading Muslim cleric denounce homosexuality and if it shows up in the media at all, the media doesn’t bother to get quotes from homosexual activists denouncing traditional Muslim faith … and practice.
It’s not as if Islam is hiding its faith or if the followers of the Prophet are shy about committing violent acts to enforce their belief.
The media are the homosexual community’s cheerleaders. This is an indisputable fact. Since Muslims are much, much, much more unforgiving of homosexuals than Christians, what is the reason for the double standard? Is it simply another example of political correctness? Is it just anti-Christian bigotry? Is it a way of showing contempt for the broad middle of the country that does not share the Liberal views of the newsroom? Is it cowardice, knowing that Christians demonstrate by buying a chicken sandwich but Muslims demonstrate cutting your throat? Is it the belief that 1.5 billion followers of Islam don’t mean anything?
It’s probably a combination of all of these. And it’s not going to change while there is a separate archipelago we can refer to as the media. Thankfully, the islands in that archipelago are slowly sliding beneath the waves as technology is making them irrelevant. Faster please.

I wonder what that smarmy liberal, Adam Smith, thinks about Islam and their treatment of homosexuals?
Somebody posted something else the other day which is thought provoking. It asked, how can people buy gas from middle eastern countries, some of which are Muslim theocracies, considering the treatment of homosexuals there? If we need to boycott Chick Fill A because their owners oppose homosexual marriage, don’t we have to boycott oil companies which deal with middle eastern countries in which homosexuality itself is a crime?
At least if we’re going to be consistent in liberal theology of boycotting any who do not have a liberal view of homosexuality, the liberals have something to think about.
Why has the Democrat party, a party which is dedicated to diversity and all that, chosen to hold their convention in a state which recently voted to ban homosexual marriage in their state constitution?
If we’re supposed to be liberal and outraged about marriage laws and all that, shouldn’t Democrats have pulled their convention from the state of North Carolina, a state sweltering in the heat of injustice to the homosexual?? Just asking the question.
Never confuse a “Moralist” with such facts. They pass judgments but rarely keep tract of the associated logistics.
It is hard to do two things at one time - or any time for that matter.

Liberals and atheists both hate Christians in general and in politics especially.
Liberals and Muslims are united in their hatred towards Christianity. Another Freeper mentioned this on a relevant topic and to me, it makes complete sense why there is such a glaring double standard with liberals and their view of Christianity (which only preaches that homosexuality is a sin) versus Islam (which not only preaches homosexuality is a sin but puts homosexuals to death).
Damn Christians, ewe are so right, are the ones who built the advanced world of modern man that we participate in today.... it sure as sunshine was not Islam, homosexuals, criminals, and assorted perverts. Pedophiles etc etc etc.
Society is further ahead to stick with what works ~ it has a successful track record!

Pointing out the “double standard” isn’t going to do anything. Pointing out the truth that liberals, atheists, muslims and Satan all hate Christ, Christians, and Christianity is using the sword of truth to cut to the bone of the matter.
I really hope the next time a high profile Christian like Cathy gets asked in an interview about same sex marriage, they only answer,
“So what is the Muslim position on same sex marriage?”
To have that question in the news would really make some liberal heads explode.
I would also add that homos are simply the weapon being used by the left with the goal of criminalizing Christian beliefs.
Once criminalized, then they can use the power of the State to exterminate Christians.
Just as in Roman times, our crime is that of rebellion to the “god” that is the State, and its worshippers will brook no such rebellion.
It is an unrational hate just like the hate that nailed Jesus Christ to the cross. They hate the name and they hate everyone who believes in the name just as Jesus predicted over 2,000 years ago.
