LGBTs call on visible national support Aug 7 to counter Huckabee's CFA day
Equally Wed ^ | Aug 4 2012 | Equally Wed

"Our original goal was to support Starbucks for being so supportive of our community and our rights.

"We specifically chose a brick-and-mortar chain to have visible support around the country on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, in direct response to Mike Huckabee’s Chick-fil-A Day."

In an effort to heighten awareness for all companies and nonprofits contributing to the fight for marriage equality, we’ve decided to rename August 7 as National Marriage Equality Day...

This expansion of focus is the result of the direct encouragement of Starbucks Corporate Headquarters who wanted other equality-minded companies and organizations to share in the appreciation.

...

National nonprofit organizations fighting for LGBT equality...:

Courage Campaign Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Freedom to Marry Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) Lambda Legal Marriage Equality USA National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (The Task Force) National Youth Advocacy Coalition (NYAC) NOH8 Campaign Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) White Knot

No doubt Starbucks is thrilled to hear the news. A cafe full of sodomites, sipping mocha frappes, will do wonders for their bottom line.

Sometimes I wonder if this companies just got railroaded and harassed into signing on, and resent being listed and “outed” like this.

No doubt on Aug 1 some of them suddenly “saw the light” and wished they were on the other side.

Who said they could have a day for unnatural sodomite pseudo-marriage??? ...and calling it a “national day” to boot! What arrogance! I acknowledge no such thing!

The backlash is in full swing now. JC Penney just fired their CEO who thought the gay marriage stance was a good marketing idea. We all know how well that one is working out for their bottom line.

Since these companies are now listed by this group, I would say that the CFA appreciation day scared the crap out of them and I would expect all sorts of under the radar statements are in the works.

This whole thing was such a huge backfire that I would assume any company getting under the rainbow banner is either woefully stupid or engages in self masochism. Either way, their days in business are numbered.

Hey, guys, thanks for the list.

Having that list directly from you makes it easier to figure out what companies to avoid. This saved me a lot of time rather than looking them up on my own.

The same way Jesse Jackson would shake down companies.

What ***hole declared the 7th “National” Homosexual “Marriage” Equality Day? Did the Kenyan do this as another “In Your Face” to decent Americans?

I don’t see Apple on that list.

I do, however, see Microsoft.

Maybe starting a list of verified supporters of these Gestapo

Might I suggest to those whose “panties are up in a wad” (poor choice of words with this crowd I suppose) over CFA, turn this into something, like, positive, man. Why not start your OWN chain of LGBT-freindly fast food joints and compete?

Starbutts?

D!c&-Fil-A?

No, wait. I have it.

Long John's Quiver... Two Guys or Two Girls...

The Donut Hole... Big Weiners... Pizza Butt...

Something tells me the idea will fail.

The homo groups are clever and use buzz words that resonate with the uninformed, such as 'Marriage Equality' which sounds so innocuous and, well, 'fair'. If the polls are accurate, they are making headway with the general public. However, the brouhaha over Chick-fil-A owner Dan Cathy's perfectly reasonable statement that he believes in the traditional definition of marriage - one man, one woman - and the attempt by the homo groups to not only vilify the man but destroy his popular business, backfired, big-time. The gays lost a lot of sympathy with their over-the-top protests and average folks noticed the hate was coming from the gay groups, not the folks who simply believe in the traditional definition of marriage. Their August 7th protest will flop and the media will move on, quickly.

As if the LGBT-LMNOPs goons weren’t already overly-emotional drama hogs.

Load them up with coffee and watch them become even more obnoxious.
