For those of you who use coupons but despise the liberal fish wrappers that carry them, what's a frugal person to do?
I was totally disgusted by two local cartoonists that drew a cartoon depicting Fox and Friends this past Sunday. They had Steve Doocy saying "We never had a drought before Obama was prez, coincidence? I think not!" Then next to him they drew Gretchen Carlson as a blonde bimbo saying "what he said" and next to her, Brian Kilmeade as an illiterate neanderthal holding up a sign misspelling Fox News as "nooz". To top it off, there was a liberal editorial bashing Ann Marie Buerkle and praising the idiot liberal Maffei by some feminazi moron in Newark, NY.
I know there are some online coupons out there; I also extensively garden, can and freeze as well as buy generics. I plan on cancelling my subscription and telling them exactly why, but what alternate sources do you folks out there have for coupons?
couponmom.com
I understand your thoughts over the paper. I tend to grab my coupons and recycle the rest. We live close to Tennessee and get the Chattanooga paper as well as our local Georgia paper. Netheir insert is the same, but they work. There are tons of websites that have coupons. You could try smartsource.com or redplum.com Also, ebay has several reputable sellers that provide whole inserts so you don’t have to bother with buying the paper, and you can choose your area. I don’t know if you read any couponing blogs, but living in the South, I have one that I’m very fond of that helps me tremendously. It’s called Southernsavers.com There are several out there like the crazykouponlady (I think that’s how it’s spelled). Most of these sites set up scenarios of shopping based on coupons in your region. Do a quick check on ebay and see what you find. There are several clipping services that don’t go through ebay you just have to google them.
Forgot to add I’m the wife of a Freeper, he would have shot me if I didn’t add that to this :)
I, too, miss getting coupons from the paper. Coupons.com sends me a weekly list of printable coupons.
Also, if there’s a product you use a lot, you can probably get coupons from their website.
Tabasco, for example.
IMHO, most of the coupons received in the mail or printed in papers are a rip-off, anyway. I just look for sales, shop at discount stores (for example, dollar stores), and use mainly the coupons offered by stores. I’m always looking for more ways to save, though. Good topic.
I signed up for the loyalty cards at all my major local supermarkets.
The bargains to the loyalty card holders each week and month are more than enough - I rarely use coupons.
I MOSTLY only buy the sale items - and buy extra when I do, so I won’t need to buy them later at full price. The majority of the time, my grocery bill reflects savings of 20-35%, in total - without any coupons.
They cover regional stores in the South, but they also cover national Drug chains Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid. They also have an excellent Coupon Database.
They break down the weekly ads (in advance) and show available coupons for sale items and where to find them.
They also preview the weekly coupon inserts, so if there is nothing that interests you, you can skip the paper.

I’ve used both of these sites. The coupons come from Florida and have a much higher dollar value and amount of coupons than anything I can get around here.
Check for any local weekly papers (free ones) In my area the weekly liberal free paper was putting in the same Sunday coupons in their papers for months- drop them at locations on Wednesday - they’d be wiped-out by Thursday (they stopped doing it, the papers just sit there now)
Check small places on Monday - you may be able to buy a paper at discount or ask to take out coupons.
Lots of online places, also check manufacturers sites and facebook pages - I have a fake facebook just for that...(always print coupons in ‘eco’ or ‘fast draft’ on your printer - to save ink)
I’ve steered away from coupons - now shopping at discount places like Aldi’s that don’t take them.
