Many people who do not have any true knowledge of Islam or the Nation of Islam often times put the two together, however, many people will be surprised to know that these have more differences than they do similarities.
When people see the Nation of Islam, they immediately associate the late Malcolm X and the former NOI leader Louis Farrakhan with the organization. They identify Black Muslims as being apart of this organization, when in fact many Black Muslims follow the true religion of Islam and have no association with the organization.
Many Muslims denounce the teachings of the Nation of Islam and consider them to be false teachings of the religion. In an article titled "The Nation of Islam Exposed" A. I. Palmer states that the NOI is a black racist cult. He defends true Islam by saying that the followers of the Nation of Islam are not Muslims because they do not follow the true teachings of the religion of Islam.
The religion of Islam is the acceptance of and the obedience to the teachings of God, which he revealed to His last prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him). Allah is the Arabic word that means God (the one true God who created the whole universe). The word Muslim means "the one who submits to the will of God." Muslims believe that only Allah is the one worthy of worship alone without any partners.

About the Writer: Born in Milwaukee in 1981, Celin Childs is a unique writer that has attended two historically black colleges and two community colleges. She is currently a Muslim who wants to persue her dreams of becoming a writer and teacher and going to paradise.
Both are cults.
No difference in my eyes.
In Islam, the only explicitly guaranteed way to get to paradise is by dying in jihad.
And, yes, there is very little resemblance between NoI and regular Islam, besides the name. Plus NoI is going heavily into Scientology.
hmmmm, we have an organization devote to killing or enslaving anyone who isn’t black and moslem contrasted to an organization devoted to killing or enslaving anyone who isn’t moslem.
I don’t see any difference.
Once a moslem, always a terrorist
Thanks. See here for a clear contrast, and a tract you can download: http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/BIBLE_vs_NOI.html
Blessed be the Lord.
Opps. I meant a contrast btwn the Bible and the NOI.
I guess I am a bit naive on the subject. I guess there was a few statements that made me feel that this is why Barack Obama feels as he does. That this was his teaching!
Another excerpt:
They teach that the Black man is of a superior race actually raised up to the status of Allah. They believe that the white man is a devil, and was created by the Black people in a genetic experiment 6,000 years ago.
And this:
Elijah Muhammad claimed to be a prophet of Allah. He also claimed that the whites would rule the world for 6,000 years and then be destroyed at the ‘end of their time’ by the blacks. He also stated that ‘Judgment Day’ means that at the end of time the blacks would destroy the entire white race of devils and then produce a paradise nation on the earth, which will be ruled by the Blacks.
Indeed. Islam and Christian faith contrasted btwn here: http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/JESUS.Vs.Muhammad.html
How do we know this isn’t Taquiyya?
I refuse to call any of the NOI people by their assumed names. To me, Elijah Muhammad is Elijah Poole, Far(a)d Muhammad is Wallace Ford, Farrakhan is Louis Wolcott, Malcolm X (Shabazz) is Malcolm Little, and Muhammad Ali is Cassius Clay (he was in the NOI from 1964 to 1975, thereafter switching to Sunni Islam) . . .
This is the first time I’ve ever heard of that. This could explain why Obama doesn’t drop to the ground 5 times a day. :)
Taqiyya (alternate spellings taqiya, taqiyah, tuqyah), meaning religious dissimulation,[1] This means a legal dispensation whereby a believing individual can deny his faith or commit otherwise illegal or blasphemous acts while they are at risk of significant persecution.[2]
This practice emphasized in Shi’a Islam whereby adherents may conceal their religion when they are under threat, persecution, or compulsion.[3]Taqiyya was developed to protect Shi’ites who were usually in minority and under pressure. In the Shi’a view, taqiyya is lawful in situations where there is overwhelming danger of loss of life or property and where no danger to religion would occur thereby.[1]
The majority Sunni Muslims rarely found it necessary to hide their beliefs. However, there are examples of practicing taqiyya among Sunnis where it was necessary.[4] In the Sunni view, denying your faith under duress is “only at most permitted and not under all circumstances obligatory”.
Just great, I’m neither black nor a muslim.
Uh oh.
Both groups of Muzzies get a pass from the MSM and the Dems.
This isn’t “new” news. Malcolm X’s autobiography went into the NoI’s creation and beliefs fairly extensively, and that book’s been out for years.
Meanwhile Chicago is elevating Americas largest and most influential hate group, the Nation of Islam and trying to return them to their 1990s status when they were supplying official security for government housing in six major cities.
