Good.

The more democrats who feel that their boy is going to win, the fewer who will actually make it to the pools and vote.

The more fired up the conservative base gets to prove the elites in charge how wrong they are, the more who WILL make the effort to get to the polls.

These RINO jerks are setting Ryan (the Conservative) up to be the fall-guy in the event anything goes askew.

Exactly. The claim will be that Romney and Ryan weren't sufficiently moderate/liberal and all because he picked an "extremist" like Ryan. The truth is that, if Romney wins, it will be because Ryan carried him over the finish line.

Romney-Ryan should be Ryan-Romney. Ryan could win in a landslide, but Rove and his elitist friends don't think they could control a President Ryan.

Agree SueRae. When the announcement was made, I thought I heard the sound of alot of RINO heads exploding at the RNC and other GOP-E bunkers in DC(bars if Boehner is there).

There is a big division within the party and it’s about time we conservatives get noticed.. with Ryan on the ticket. There was no appreciation from the leadership in 2010 for GOP election successes. This is our way of telling the “reachers across the aisle” that without support for our conservative agenda(saving the country), we can do this on our own one election at a time..ie they can join us or end up being the party of nothing. Ha..I hope I’m right.

That said, we need to remember that Mittens didn’t pick Ryan because he is convinced of the merits of the Tea Party. He did it because the “tea” leaves read that his campaign was failing and he was destined for defeat in November at the hands of the Chicago machine.

The RNC went along because they must have known that the money(which is everything to them) would dry up with the increasingly unpopular Mittens at the top of the ticket. An RNC big whig that I know said that the money is rolling in,, no problem. ..which translates to panic that their fundraising might be tanking. They now think erroneously that they were so very clever to have hidden their RINO philosophy publicly enough to trick conservatives into supporting them.

Problem is that constitutional conservatives actually work for results(see Cruz race). And if they are like me, they don’t contribute financially to the RNC anyway, but rather directly to the candidates who hold fast to first principles and run on that platform.

Most of us have had it with the late night boozing, deal making elitists within the beltway who assume that we are their sheeple.

To them, we are like Greek yogurt, which tastes terrible but we eat it anyway.. They know they need us even though they would prefer that we instantly disappear. At the very least, they want us to shut up and sit down. Conservative activists should not be seen OR heard. Hmm...

How we fall for their faux reasons for whatever they do. Romney has not been able to win in the polls. Obama has been such a terrible president that Spongebob Squarepants should be beating him. The gop-e decided that conservatives won't have a choice but to vote for the liberal they lied, cheated and forced on us. They wanted to win the independents and felt they had to pick someone who is willing to blow with the wind and be whoever they need him to be to win. Now they realize they can't get the all conservative votes like they assumed. They knew they had to throw out some bait hoping social conservative would bite and come home. These mostly unknown people who are complaining about Ryan are there to show easily lead conservatives that Romney is making a sacrifice and brave in choosing Ryan.

Romney is using Ryan's character and conservative face to win as he has none of his own. Everyone knows he is not a conservative and has to put one out there for the disenchanted. Romney will “use” Ryan to be the attack dog, man of character/social conservative, in an attempt to pull social conservatives back. Then Ryan will be put on the shelf, only to be used for funerals and when Romney needs him. Otherwise, shut up. Just like Romney used backdoors to destroy Sarah, Obama will have his media destroy Ryan.

The only way to win is to flip the ticket (although, I question if Ryan would be really safe).  Ryan would be a great president. Many conservatives are wise and discerning enough to see a bait and switch going on.  We look at what people have done and said in the past, not just what they are saying today. We all know Romney is NOT a conservative and true conservatives have  a problem with Romney, because he is not just an ordinary rino, but a I can be further left than Kennedy rino/I'll do whatever it takes to be president, not matter who I hurt or what I have to do. Sounds like our current commander and thief. We always complained about democrats buying into hope and change and not knowing anything about Obama or worse, those who knew what a liar, theft and corrupt person he was and now we have it in our own ranks. What a sad party we have become. We had to win at any cost; allowing the gop to use us and then helping them plot our own demise.

Romney has taken a good leader out of Wisconsin, a bluish state, to help him win. There was no sacrifice or bravery for Romney, only selfish ambition. Using Ryan as a  conservatives face for Romney, does not change anything. We still would be stuck with romney as president. I will be gone a while, but will respond to any comments when I return.

“If freedom is to survive, people like Paul Ryan will lead the way. This is a contest between tyranny and freedom, nothing else.”

FYI, saw this interesting piece in this morning’s Washington Times:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/aug/13/ryan-sparks-split-on-immigration/

(Note: The WT is the -conservative- publication in DC, not to be confused with The Washington Post....)

Isn’t going to change my vote (I’m an anyone-but-Obama type), but something to be concerned about. Mr. Ryan may be good with conservatives on some issues, but his stance on immigration is troubling...

Yeah. The libs put out all these lies and BS for everyone, and pretty soon they don’t realize they start to believe their own lies and BS. What a bunch of idiots. They’re not going to have any idea what hit em come November.

These guys need to be found and taken out - NOW - before their venom once again infects everything and gives us Obama - again!

Hang on a sec. I thought it was the conservative 'purists' who were going to ensure Zero's re-coronation because they won't support Mittens. Now you're saying it's the GOP-E?

Which is it?

Not sure what you're referring to regarding “purists”, but to the GOP-e, Conservatives are an anathema. They don't care who wins as long as Conservatives are run out of town and discredited.

I don't like Mitt Romney any more than I liked John McCain. In fact, I fear we will see Bob Dole all over again. But the fact that Paul Ryan is now on the ticket gives me hope that Conservative issues and values may surmount the mountain of leftist dung.

I refer to third-party voters such as myself because that's what I've been called on various threads. We're accused of handing the election to Zero. Now I see you posting that the GOP-E, which hand-picked Romney may hand the election to Zero if they don't lay off Ryan. I tend to believe you, by the way.

I am also a Ryan fan. I just found your post interesting, and useful to show where the real danger is in the Republican Party. It's not from conservatives.
