If it is repealed, then it is off the books and done. If it is replaced with a different plan...and that is the key, a different plan altogether and not a revised plan...then the deed is done.
That will depend more on the House and Senate than it will on Romney however...it is their job.
That is why we simply MUST vote in a strong majority in the House and Senate...and not just in numbers, but in the type of Reps. They simply must be Tea Party types who are going up there to clean house, take no prisoners, and not go along to get along.
If we do that, they will bring Romney along and he will come because a huge turnaround will be happening, very positive for the whole country...and he will want to be seen as a big part of it. And if he does...then rightfully so and all the better.
One thing is for sure..with Obama in there as President, these things will not happen.
Another article of mine...on the brighter side.
No question. The down-ticket races are, in many ways, the more important issue this year. Capitol Hill needs to be fire hosed, bleached and fumigated!
BTT
Two words - Senate and filibuster. The Democrats are going to spend the next four years doing what the Republicans have spent the last four years doing - ensuring that the guy in the White House is a one-termer. Romney/Ryan will have a hard time accomplishing much of what you’re hoping for.
All depends on the numbers my friend, and the size of the victory we pull off. We shall see.
If true, and he does this, then Hunstman has gone truly off his rocker.
OTOH, he was Obama's Ambassador to China, and if he were to get up there and talk about his experience in China and then say, that although he "likes" Barrack Obama, he will be endorsing and supporting Mitt Romney for president, it could have a wholly different effect.
...ok, read it now. Huntsman has not confirmed any of this and it's been a week since the report. The sources are unnamed (always leary of that), and Hunstman's daughter is apparently going public claiming it is all a lie.
So, I am unconvinced, and I will believe it when I see it, or Hunstman himself confirms it...in the mean time, he has not retracted his endorsement of Romney, and by the wording, it would be a hard one for him to do.
If you recall I've mulled over the effect of the “push-push-push” for the past few years. It was either just going to grind everyone down and completely de-sensitize the populace with a daily dose of low-grade tyranny, or it was going to ultimately wake people up. The pressure of the jackboot on the accelerator pedal was the main variable at play. From my perspective it seems that the daily grind was working “well” (from their perspective) for quite some time. When they crossed over into hammering hard on religious liberty issues, I think that was the point that a lot more awakening has occurred. (Combined with the crumbling economy that can no longer even be spun into anything palatable.) Too little, too late? As you say, we will soon find out.
I'll check those KWC posts later this evening, thanks. Also, looking forward to anything that I can do to help with the manuscript, you know where to find me (very glad to hear that it is moving along!).
Thanks for the ping!
I think the enemies of freedom and human dignity have made some serious miscalculation with respect to the nature of the American spirit. A fatal blindness, built right into their outlook.
The must not only be defeated. They must be utterly crushed.
Well done, Jeff.
It pains me to think that this could actually be a close election. You have to wonder what people are thinking.
This election, to me, is a mix of 1860 and 1980.
Both elections have tremendous ramifications about the future. In 1980, it was rebuilding America and fighting Communism. Thanks to Reagan, we had a propsperous economy, a rebuilt military, we conquered the Soviet Union without firing a shot, and over 500 million in Eastern Europe and the Soviet republics found freedom.
In 1860, the choice of President foreshadowed a Civil War.
The country was so divided, that people were willing to take up arms against each other. It feels like it again. The bounds of social order that bind us seemed to be pulled unto the breaking point. It is a scary time.
I can only do two things. Pray, and act. Pray for my country, for God’s grace upon it, and act by voting the Communist scum out of the White House, and get others to do so as well.
Then, even if I am not successful, I can look my posterity in the eye, and say, I did my best.
Thanks Jeff. We will do our part.
Romney/Ryan 2012.
” - - - What a contrast between these two visions of America! “
Lemme see now, the counter-culture one is: “If you have a business, that - - - . You didn’t build that! Somebody else made that happen.”
The Mainstream American Dream is: “If I build it customers will come, in spite of the damned US Federal Government!”
Amen to every bit of that!
Same here my old FRiend, same here.
FYI...in case you missed it. A change of pace over some of the other thread regarding Romney/Ryan.
Haven’t yet heard Romney’s position on crooked banksters and brokers....and the corrupt pornography watching regulatory apparatus that caused the GREATEST TRANSGENERATIONAL DISASTER ever to befall the USA ...far greater than anything occurring on 911
..crickets....
Nothing really happens here again in the USA until the foundations of the Republic are underpinned once again
by the Rule of Law.
Great! Thanks...
Wonderful thread! Sorry I missed it on Friday...
I sense Obama is going down to a hard defeat.
Remember what the Clintonites said in 92, “It’s the economy, stupid!”
