May God hold you and your family in the palm of His hand in these hard times.
Amen!
Prayers for your sister and for your family. Never give up!
Prayers up.
We’re glad to know, glad you posted, prayers up!
Oh, I am so so sorry. My prayers and tears are with you and your family. Please keep us posted. God bless you all.
I’m praying for strength and comfort for your family.
God, please have mercy on OlLine Rebel’s sister. Please bless her and her family and be with them.
Prayers for you and your family to receive a Miracle.
Please, Dear Lord...be by her side...
I don’t think you are being selfish. I am glad you posted and will pray for her.
Prayers up for your sister, you and your family...
This is the time to spend with her - you are blessed by every minute you are able to be there. And if you are far away, phone or Skype. You will never forget these times. YOu really don’t have to say much. How many times can you ask how a very ill person is feeling? Call on Skype, chat a bit, then put on some music to enjoy together. Read a Bible devotion to her that seems fitting. Talk about all the normal things in your life because hers is upside down and it can help. The time will come all too soon when all she will want is quiet. If she isn’t there yet, fill both your lives with your time together.
Praying for your sister, and for you and your family. May God grant you both the strength for this challenge, and may He bring healing to Barb.
My wife has brain cancer, though it is a type II tumor. I turned to free republic for prayer help when she had her surgery in April, and I will never forget the kinds that total strangers showed us with their prayers. The ultimate display of Christianity in my opinion. The prayers of everyone around us have sustained us in our journey. It sounds like your road has been a difficult one, FRiend. My heart goes out to you and your brave sister.
God bless you! My mother in law sent flowers to our house a while back, with a verse from Phillipians: “I can do all things in Christ, he who strengthens me.”. Brought me to tears. As has your post tonight. Will continue to pray for you.
Not selfish at all. I will pray for your sister and your family.
It’s ok to talk with us out here. We will listen and send God’s blessings back to you and your family. Get some rest now.
Thanks to all and everyone.
I still need to get in touch with Barb. I may drop by tomorrow.
See, we all live 5 min from each other. There is no need for special means to communicate, although she is devoted to her phone and leans on it a whole lot. Just not when she’s not well.
Oh, BTW, for those who aren’t here in MD - that massive coal train derailment is in the original historic part of our town of Ellicott City, right at the 1st train station terminus in the nation. Just around the corner from us, again 5 min. Ay yi yi.
