Let's get right to the point. President Obama has acted like he is the king on illegal immigration. He has enacted portions of the Dream Act by executive order, claiming it is the right thing to do. At the same time, he has touted the number of deportations of illegal immigrants as proof that he is doing his job of enforcing our immigration laws. What he is really doing is talking out of both sides of his mouth. According to new documents obtained by the House Judiciary Committee, he should be quite dizzy. The amount of spin he is applying to the facts is astounding.
(The Daily Caller) Internal documents obtained by the House Judiciary Committee show that the Obama administration has been "cooking the books” in order to reach their “record” number of deported illegal immigrants, chairman Rep. Lamar Smith said Friday.The question now is what story do the real deportation numbers have to tell. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out, once the stabilizing factor of real math is added.Based on the internal U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) documents, the number of removals are actually down, the opposite of what the administration has been claiming.
According to the committee’s review, in 2011 officials at the Department of Homeland Security began including the number of individuals removed through the Alien Transfer Exit Program (ATEP) in its annual removal numbers. ATEP is a program which moves apprehended illegal immigrants to another point along the border.
The committee chair claims that counting those individuals as removals is misleading because there are no repercussions for illegal immigrants who are deported through the program, and they can simply try to re-enter.
“It is dishonest to count illegal immigrants apprehended by the Border Patrol along the border as ICE removals,” Smith explained in a statement. “And these ‘removals’ from the Border Patrol program do not subject the illegal immigrant to any penalties or bars for returning to the U.S. This means a single illegal immigrant can show up at the border and be removed numerous times in a single year — and counted each time as a removal.”
With the ATEP subtraction, in 2011 the estimated 397,000 deportations become approximately 360,000, and the 2012 removals to date drop from about 334,000 to an estimated 263,000, according to the committee estimates. Projections for number of people to be deported by end of the year drops from 400,000 to 315,000 removals.And President Obama wants us to believe he is doing a stand up job of enforcing our immigration laws? Many times, I have heard the claim that President Obama and his administration have deported more illegal immigrants than any modern administration. The facts show that simply is not true. Leave it to Obama and company to relax our immigration enforcement and use their suspect math to come up with a positive spin. Cooking the books is a polite way of saying they have been lying to us all along. Can anyone really be surprised at this new information? I know I'm not. The only question I have is in what other areas have they applied their spin math.The new estimates mean that this year the Obama administration’s deportation record is 14 percent below 2008 (which was 369,000) and 19 percent below 2009 (which was 389,000).
The only things Obama can offer the American public are spin, lies, and Bullshit. Nothing more.
Let’s cut to the truth here, which is something Obama knows nothing about.
The truth is, he didn’t want the presidency because he knew he could do a good job, he wanted POWER and PERKS.He had, and has NO experience in foreign policy, NO military experience (did not end the war),NO experience concerning the economy, and NO experience concerning healthcare. He has tied the hands of our military and seems to give presidence to the Taliban and Muslim Brotherhood. He started the Muslim spring.
His one and only qualification was that he is black. He swept into the WH on his color and color alone. It was white fear of being called a racist that drove thousands of blind fools to vote for him. I thank God I was not one of them.
He is a power hungry socialist whose ego and arrogance are so monumental that he can lie to peoples faces and feel no guilt when his failures cause damage and dwestruction. He comes up with a new lie to cover the last lie.
He cannot run on his failed record so he attacks with lies and distortions. He is the first to blatantly attack his opponent by name which other presidents have not done. He is a classless corrupt thug of the first order.
The pResident of perks and power. He has cost taxpayers millions vacationing, golfing, and perpetual fundraising, using AF1 to fly to these venues. His wife uses it as her personal airlimo. We pay for her mother, and her children and friends.
He wanted to be the FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT. Even that is a lie. He’s half white so even that is a failure. This nation has yet to elect the first black president.
All in all, his legacy will show him to have been the perpetual campaigner-vacationer-golfer-fundraiser-N-Chief. Hr has to go with our HOPE that he fades into the dustbin of history.
There really isn’t much to add to your comment. You’ve pretty much said it all. The man has no business in Washington, much less in the White House.
