Romney gives shout-out to 'women entrepreneurs'
The Politico ^ | August 25, 2012 | Alexander Burns

On the road with Mitt Romney in Ohio today, Ginger Gibson flags some non-standard sections in the candidate's stump speech, specifically mentioning women in business:

"Just a word to the women entrepreneurs out there. If we become, if we become president and vice president we want to speak to you, we want to help you. Women in this country are more likely to start businesses than men. Women need our help. ...

I want to make sure we help entrepreneurs and innovators, I want to speak to the women of America who have dreams who begin businesses in their homes who begin businesses out in the marketplace who are working in various enterprises and companies, I want you to be successful. Our campaign is about making it easier for entrepreneurs, women and men, to start businesses, to grow businesses we will champion small business because we know that’s where our jobs come."

This has obviously not been a great week for Romney and Republicans when it comes to reaching undecided female voters...

” - - - Women in this country are more likely to start businesses than men.”

Romney needs to beef up his message on this fact.

Agreed. Obama’s woman issues will be birth control and (if that doesn’t work) abortion. While Romney talks jobs and upward mobility.

You are so right - their uteruses are the most important issue in this 2012 election. I am so ashamed of women who spew these talking points about “reproduction.” They willingly allow the government to tell them what they can and can’t eat, but, by God -when it comes to abortion - its their body! Such stupidity. So, is the vagina the main issue for DemoRATS? It seems to be.

None of them regard or even think about the innocent life they are killing. I believe the Bible teaches that our bodies belong to the Lord - But, hey, why try to teach these squealing pigs anything? Its their rights, their vaginas, their uteruses - what a bunch of selfish people who will one day stand before the Lord and give an account of themselves. God help them, when they try to shout down Jesus and scream - its my body!

I believe that women will hear this as respectful of them, their intelligence and initiative as opposed to the “Vagina chronicles” the Democrats are running on. Good approach! very smart way to turn the discussion.

Women in this country are more likely to start businesses than men. Women need our help.

If women are more likely to start businesses than men, then don't men need the help?

“Women in this country are more likely to start businesses than men. Women need our help. ... “

More progressive babble. Look at the logic in this statement. It ain’t about women, it ain’t about blacks. It’s about all of us! It’s about getting this country back to where it’s supposed to be in terms of self reliance, hard work, and innovation. Please, Romney, don’t campaign like a liberal!

When I hear stuff like this, all I hear is “Women are inferior to men, therefore need special help”.

If one has the temerity to open a business, the only help they need from the government is the government to start eliminating the obstacles.
