“The decline did not happen overnight.”

This is the kind of statement that liberals like to make in order to obfuscate the fact that they are to blame.

We will not be economically free until the only prerequisites to starting a business will be practical, rather than legal. Such as:

—a retail business needs to be stocked, and usually needs a dedicated storefront, unless it's on line or mail-order.

—a service business could require some sort of vehicle separate from the business owner's everyday grocery-getter to carry business-related equipment .

But these decisions should be up to the business owner, who should stand or fall on the results of these and other decisions adding to or detracting from profitability.

The legal steps that must be taken before you can even get the (real or figurative) doors open in this country I frankly find appalling. If I could carry indoor plumbing and HVAC with me, I'd rather live in the early 19th century.

You don't have to donate money to the Romney campaign to make a difference. (You should donate money to FreeRepublic.)

Help Romney Beat Obama Without Donating Money.

I've made 1800 phone calls from home to New Hampshire in the last seven days using the system set up by the campaign. Even 100 calls will make a difference. Who will join me?

In 2009, the U.S. fell behind welfare state countries like ...Canada.

Huh? Welfare state?

What are the Canadian equivalents of WIC, EBT, food stamps? There aren't any. And the federally run school breakfast, lunch and dinner program? Nope, no such animal, Canada prefers the parents look after their children's meals. What a novel concept!

I love it when a writer in a country that pays people for 99 weeks NOT TO WORK (44 weeks in Canada) calls Canada a "welfare state". Ms. Fores, please check your premises, sources, conclusions before you approach your computer again.
