, in his closing comments..and he didn’t go for the jugular..”

...I think “we” (Freepers) would’ve loved to see that. I’m not sure that would’ve played well with the “sensitive” ones. Why punch him when you already got his lunch money?

Big difference, my FRiend..this is 2012, NOT 1992..some things have happened since then, like the internet, 24/7 cable cews channels, talk radio, social media..

Watch..starting a few days before the VP debate...all tghe talk will be about Biden..will be blow it..say something incedibley stupid..Biden will feel the need to prove them wrong..save the day for the team...and will thus step in it..

You may be right on that..though Mitt I think he could have done it with a smile.

I have very high hopes for this. An articulate, passionate yet controlled, intelligent Ryan vs Joe Bidenopolis.

It almost seems like bullying to let this happen. It seems so unfair.

"Vice presidential debates mean little,...."

Not this one, it is very important. Gives many a first glance at a true conservative that very well could be running for POTUS some day.

Not to disagree with your many premises but when many of the libs first remarks out of their mouths after saying how bad their candidate was, was to point at the good responses, body language (what they count on most of all) and grasp of facts, though they claim that Mitt's "facts" were all wrong, then I'd say Mitt had a good night.

The main thing here for me and lots of other conservatives dreaded watching last night as we are so accustomed to candidates who stumble over their words, stutter, look bored or worse yet, compliment and congratulate their liberal opponent and refuse to take the fight too them!

We were cheering and high fiving one another exclaiming, "what a breath of fresh air for a change" and how grateful we are to have a someone standing up for conservative principles and values, and I totally thought I'd lose it when Mitt turned to Jim Lerher claiming that though he liked him personally, he'd cut funds for everything that wasn't so important that "we'd borrow money from China to spend it on their program!"

I just could not make myself watch the debate between the GOP liberal and the DNP liberal/Marxist last night, but I do want to watch Ryan play whack-a-Joe everytime Biden sticks his head up from behind his podium and opens his mouth to utter some inane statement.

You guys are punch drunk from Romney’s great performance.

1. Biden may be the village idiot on TV, but he’s had years of exposure and along with the brains of Jello he’ll bring nerves of steel.

2. Presidential elections aren’t won on VP debates.

“I think that Mitt was good, but not great, it's just that Obama was really, REALLY bad”

You are HALF right. Obama was really, REALLY bad.

Mitt WAS GREAT! Watch that new Romney for just a sample.

I disagree that Romney didn’t do well. From what I saw he took control of the debate. He interrupted when appropriate and had well stated responses ready as soon as odumbo stopped rambling.

And Sarah Palin. Whatever your thoughts about her, her VP run and subsequent "career" since have changed the dynamics of the VP slot.

Only one disagreement with the article: The use of past tense.

Obama IS really bad. Obama IS tired, disinterested and passive.

Obama IS a fool, moron and buffoon.

Like the plagiarist he is....

Exactly. Foreign policy is the next debate, and we are on the verge of international disaster, if not past it. We have dead Ambassadors, burning flags, and burning effigies of Obama in every middle eastern country.

We are not more loved, more respected, and the world is not a safer place. Foreign policy wise, we are definitely NOT better off than we were four years ago.

Obama is fighting an uphill battle and he looks weak.

Biden may be the village idiot on TV ... brains of Jello ... nerves of steel.

Steel nerves won't do a thing for a village idiot relying on jello for brains in front of the whole country. Biden's nothing but a loud mouth career senator whose only accountability to the public has been thru the scripted speeches to rank and file union members.

For the first time in his life he's going face to face against a real heavyweight. I'm fully expecting him to become unhinged....
