I have grown tired of Paglia. I used to admire her tremendously but in this article she defends Medea Benjamin and hates on Christopher Hitchens.

Camille has always missed the big modern picture: we are in a war with Islamo Nazis. You can’t find any mention of it in any of her writings. I still believe she is an Arabist under the influence of Edward Said.

I see you're relatively new here, so I'll offer a word of explanation.

The poster is a Blog Pimp Paulbot.

He has two things on his agenda. One is to get hits for his blog at FreeRepublic's expense. The other is to play out the sour grapes he chewing on since Ron Paul isn't a force in the election.

He has posted thread after thread advocating for the Libertarian candidate and the Green Party. He claims that he's trying to reach the Democrats who might be disenchanted with The Usurper.

He has yet to satisfactorily explain how he intends to find them here. But he's spammed the forum repeatedly with lists of things and promotional material for the Greens and Libertarians.

He might as well be wearing a "Forward!" button.

I cannot get what the big deal is about this person. WHO cares what she says and who she votes for. She is a flipping liberal in all ways.

The one and only reason to care what Paglia says is that she is more honest than most leftists, and a better writer to boot (interestingly she’s also personal friends with Rush Limbaugh, despite their political differences). Other leftists purport to care for the common folk, but wouldn’t be caught dead shopping where they shop — Walmart — or mingling with them. Paglia likes to shop at Walmart because she gets to meet ordinary people that way (to say nothing of the better prices). Other pro-abortion writers obfuscate with rubbish about “a woman’s right to chose”, Paglia flatly says abortion is murder, but she supports it anyway as a rebellion against “the fascism of nature”.

Actually, she annoys the left with her honesty, so I’m afraid her endorsement is not going to shift a lot of votes from Obama to Stein.
