Amen I just moved from WA state to TX. Greatest decision ever!

Welcome, fellow conservative. I'm a native Californian who moved family and business here in late 2005. At the time, we had no idea what a wise choice we were making.

If it had actually been DC instead of Washington state, I would have put money down on Romney winning 45+ states! DC will go about 85% Obama! Now if Washington state could go Romney, it would still be a landslide overall, just less then were it DC.

Similarly, I’d like to see Illinois polled. RCP has the last poll done in early September, and even then it was only Obama +13, and that was Registered Voters (not likely voters), was before the 9/11 debacle in Libya, and was back when they were assuming 2008 turnout distributions.

It wouldn’t surprise me to find out that Illinois was a Toss Up state today, especially since every state around it is also a Toss Up now.

What I dont get is how Intrade can have 0 as a 65% favorite to win.

What counts is Ohio. And obama is winning that.

What counts is Scytl. And Soros owns that.

Not 80, but close. It will be very interesting to see how much longer that assumption holds true, however. The demographic changes in DC are pretty jaw-dropping. Huge areas that were "diverse" are now actually diverse. But, of course, these are largely Montgomery county types, so it may not make a difference.

I did witness an interesting conversation a few days ago, however. An off-duty cop (AA) was outside a bar, talking with an AA bouncer, and a mixed group. He told everyone he was voting for Romney. (I know him a little -- he wasn't joking). The AA bouncer said he was thinking the same thing. An AA patron, and a couple of young white females seemed a little shocked. I noticed a couple of other patrons nodding their heads.

On the basis of that conversation, I will put the Obama margin at 70% as opposed to 75.

Americans can’t participate on Intrade. It’s all a bunch of foreigners on it.

There's a whole lot to love about Texas, but please don't tell the libs that. There's more than enough of them here already. Thank goodness there's still more of us. I'd like to keep it that way.

I live in WA State, north of Seattle. This area is crawling with liberals! Most people I meet on golf courses are democrats. Previously we lived in Clark county at south end of WA state and that county elected a republican congress woman. If R+R wins WA state, it will just be amazing, but I am not counting on it. Oregon has a closer race.

I live in Washington State and tonight I got a call from a polling group. First he asked if I was a registered voter? Yes! How likely are you to vote? Very Likely? Likely? etc. I said very likely. Then he asked what year I was born. I told him and then he said he couldn't go any further because they already had enough people in that age group.

I was pissed because I have never been polled before and I wanted to hear the rest of the questions.

Who knows, they had Paul Ryan being chosen for VP at only 4.1%
They had Portman at 32%. Intrade is meaningless.

You forgot George McGovern.

Poor George. He's not going to be with us for but another day or two, maybe. 90. After retiring from politics, he ran a business, hotels, and he said that he was shocked by the amount of regulations and red tape, and that had he known how harmful all the regulations are he wouldn't of been in favor of it all.

D.C. has three electoral votes. But you’re right, they won’t poll it, as it is literally about 75% Democrat.
