Bishop Jackson: Black churchgoers shaken by Obama backing gay marriage

President Barack Obama’s decision to back gay marriage has shaken black churchgoers’ faith in the Democratic Party, Bishop E.W. Jackson told The Daily Caller.

“I am now sensing, hearing, talking to people — for the first time in 40 years, the black community is having a discussion about whether they ought to be Democrats, whether they ought to vote Democrat,” the Virginia minister said. “That’s never happened.”

In May, Obama announced his support for same-sex marriage after years of straddling the fence politically.

“Ministers are being questioned by their members: How can we vote for President Obama?” Jackson said. “I’ve even had some ministers who are on the left frankly, politically saying, We gotta figure out how we quiet everybody. We gotta figure out how we get everybody back in the camp, because they sense that people are awakening and saying, now wait a minute: If I have to choose between Jesus and the Democrat Party, Jesus and Barack Obama, then Jesus is going to be my choice.”

Look for the full interview with Jackson Monday.

No dilemma here. 95% will choose ethnic pride over religious beliefs just like a gentleman that I know in my office who is, otherwise, a great guy and a very active church-goer (non-Reverent Wright style church), but makes up all sorts of rationalizations to vote that way.

They believe that if they leave Chicago or whatever hellhole big city they're in they won't be treated right. Race relations are as good or better all over "flyover country".

They stay where they are and no matter how hard they try to raise them right their kids get infected with the gangsta crap.

if there are black churches in your town, I would recommend that conservatives go to those churches during the Sundays before the elections and speak to the congregations about gay marriage and Obama or simply stand outside the church holding Anti Gay Marriagr and Anti Obama signs.

I am convinced that Barry is a homosexual, that the Trinity cult under Wright handpicked Michelle to be his "beard", that he is a Muslim, that he committed a felony by using a dead man's Social Security number (which he continues to use to this very day), and that his Selective Service documents were forged (he remains the only person in United States history to have only the last two digits of "08" stamped on his document instead of "1980").

The protection the media has provided this fraud has been nothing short of Satanic.

As the years have gone by, I have determined that perhaps God allowed us to have the "king" we asked for. The "king" we deserved as a nation.

I have prayed, on my knees, that the curse that is Obama would be removed from our nation.

I have posted this story about two African-American women I work with. They claim to be Christians. They will exclaim "Praise Jesus" during normal conversation, or "God is good all the time" - but both worship Barack Hussein Obama.

Nothing he does is wrong. Everything he does is justified.

I don't know how they sleep at night, but I have learned that racism in the black community is indoctrinated from a very, very early age.

To see through it, and to come out of that spell, requires nothing less than the true Holy Spirit giving discernment.

Yet, for more than forty years, as tens of millions of black babies have been targeted and murdered, they haven’t batted an eye. @#%& for brains.

Obama has personal reasons for supporting the gay agenda. He is a homosexual. It’s hard to understand why anyone but gays would be supporting him at this point.

I do hope you took the time to listen to the short video and checked out the links I posted.

The pastors are leading their flocks - this is their moment.

I am encouraged that they have very publicly come forward.

“All of my adult life has been focused upon bringing similar family messages to the black communities so that they will live and vote their values,” said Dr. Day Gardner, president of the National Black Pro-Life Union. “The NAACP, the Democratic Party, and others who supposedly stand up for the black community have failed. I firmly believe that this powerful and traditional message will lead our nation back to its moral compass.” Source

You mean "80" right? And I didn't know about stamped on his document instead of "1980". Thanks!

perhaps God allowed us to have the "king" we asked for. The "king" we deserved as a nation.

WHO do you know 'asked for a king'?

And God doesn't have voters on a string that He allowed them or anyone. People don't know Truth nor follow it and they, themselves, welcomed in evil - it has nothing to do with God.

I have lived in many places and have loved our black friends, neighbors, and colleagues in those places..I have never felt any racism and I have not seen it around me. In fact, just the opposite is true in my experience. Many of us sponsor children in Africa..Our little boy is now 11 and growing up..We have sponsored him since he was very small. My son dated a beautiful black woman. So, it breaks my heart to see ethnic pride draw our great black folks into a way of life which will harm them along with everyone else. The Obama policies are collapsing our society and his method is to foment race and class warfare to accomplish that. This is done through a projection of guilt for everything lacking in the black community onto those with white skin..Now, let's see..What is that called? I long to see a world where people of all colors grab onto the opportunities offered here to become what is inside them to become. Perseverance and desire to succeed cannot be coerced or forced. Also, people are born with different attributes or talents. If we could only foster the development of those in all our people without the man at the top trying to bring us to war against one another, it would seem, for the purpose of self-aggrandizement, we could make more progress. Sigh! I guess I want the perfect world, free of envy and lust for power. Just pray..God has a plan.

There’s something we miss from all of this. It is quite possible that the GOP share of the black vote will increase. But what’s even more important is that the intensity level will be way down among those who voted for Obumer. And there will be those who will not go vote, rather than a choice between Romney (their perceived enemy) and Obama (who is immoral in the eyes of black Christians). BTW, I have a man at church that is normally conservative in his personal beliefs who will vote for Obama because his union says so. And him and his wife keep saying that Romney is going to take away their social security. You can’t get through the Dem brainwashing on this to show that it is the Dems who are crippling medicare and SS.

*THIS* imho, is the 'money quote'. Will theses folks vote GOP? Not likely, but they apparently are *not* going to support Obama...
