Given the positive recall results for conservatives, why was the conventional wisdom a solid Obama win?
The registration gap may be D+4, but I doubt very seriously that the will translate to D+4 gap on election day. Having said, that I think R+0 is more reasonable given that the recall was R+1. That adjustment brings Romney’s lead down to 47.8 to Obama’s 46.3.
My 91 year old Mother & WWII Veteran in the nursing home is voting...for Romney. Has stayed informed and voted Republican her whole life and given enormous sums to candidates. I reminded her the other day that in 1960 when my Father and she were publishers of a Wisconsin newspaper and JFK stopped in looking for an endorsement, he held out his hand to shake and my Dad wouldn’t return the gesture. JFK’s faced turned beet red and he turned and stalked out of the offices with his sycophants in tow.
If people think Obama is a super leftist (and he is), wait until they’d see Tammy Baldwin in the senate. The most liberal member of congress and makes Barack look like Barry Goldwater by comparison.
it’s demographic vs turnout
I think the turnout will trump the demographic
The enthusiasm gap is very wide.
Romney/RYAN take WI

We WI conservatives are going to turn out in numbers that will shock liberals. I believe we will win WI.
