i just heard this on the radio and came here to verify it. i pay for insurance to cover lose. if i was on a flood plain i would have flood insurance. if i was renting i would have renters’ insurance. it’s the responsible thing to do. if they want 100% they can kiss my flyover country white conservvative patriotic butt. let them pay for their own rebuilding. given it’s been 11 years and the WTC is still not finished, rebuilding after sandy should only take 100 years. corrupt arrogant bastards.

I don’t see why NYC doesn’t just go straight to the Chicoms and cut out the middleman. Probably get a better rate, or maybe just put up the Brooklyn bridge and the WTC as collateral.

It’s a good thing that we have to go dig it up in Africa, because that means thieves with economic degrees from Harvard can’t conjure it up on a computer and steal people’s savings. We guard it because other people want to steal it, which is further proof of it’s usefulness.

The Martian thing is the old John Rawls trick. There lack of knowledge is supposed to be some sort of advantage. Well, if I could explain the laws of human economics to them maybe they’d get it. Why Buffett doesn’t is hard to explain outside of dishonesty.
