Analysis: How 'gay marriage' won in Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington

These races were lost for the same reasons:Our side was enormously outspent and out-organized,along with a phalanx of other forces enumerated above.

Furthermore, the groups running the campaign opposing gay marriage had an arsenal of weapons about homosexuality, homosexual behavior, and the destructive nature of homosexual relationships that they didn't use because it would not be "politically correct" and would likely anger the liberal media -- and because it wouldn't be seen as "nice." And when they finally were willing to use the very effective issue of schools forcing homosexuality on kids, it was too late.

Voters are now so dumbed down and are constantly fed a twisted view of church and religion by the media and academia. They don't examine issues but follow emotional and often illogical propaganda. So the verdict often comes out: "Everybody should be happy. Leave it up to God. My nephew's gay, so it should be legal."

It's not surprising that they are already talking about using these campaigns as a template for "turning over" other states one by one. And of course, they are also focused on overturning DOMA.

Nevertheless, we are still confident of the future.

Looking at everything they had to do, it's still very clear that the ONLY way the homosexual lobby can win a gay marriage referendum - even in these four very blue states, and by those relatively small margins -- is through the extraordinary measures and expenditures listed above, along with our acquiescence on moderating our opposing message.

If our side can get its ideological act together, toss out our milquetoast rhetoric, get some political courage, and be aggressive rather than reactive, we would be pretty unstoppable. But right now, that's a big "if."

No problem. If she stuffed the docs up her clothes and walked out, that’s just worth a hand slap. Bubba’s boys taught us that.

Nothing will be done until after CW-II - I keep repeating that and it’s true, folks.

And - as usual - I want to run the guillotine.

And d*mmit, we’d better have a guillotine, ‘cuz I want to see some liberal heads bounce.

I'm sick of the issue...

As long as you call it GAY and not SODOMY you deserve to lose. You don’t even have the courage to call it what it is.

You use the terms of the left, the playing field of the left and somehow expect a righteous outcome.

ITS SODOMY!!!!

ITS HOMOSEXUALITY!!!!

Gay is what we’ll all feel when Johnny comes marching home!

You forgot deviance, perversion and mental illness. Let’s not leave a single descriptor (that isn’t just crass) in the quiver - use them all! Because that’s the truth of it.

The new abnormal values to live by ay? The reason we conserves are so against legalized immorality is that it invites the judgement and wrath of the Almighty. After all the blessings and goodness He bestows on us this defiant and wayward society arrogantly casts His mercy and wisdom aside like garbage. Its willful insanity by choice. Count us out—we are clinging to the Almighty even more and forever no matter what deranged idiots of this culture spew.

The tactics described in this article is why we don’t give felons the right to vote: give them that right, and they will work to legalize burglary, robbery, murder, and so on. Just as we should never approach that point in our society, we shouldn’t have ever approached the point where marriage is under assault and homosexual indoctrination is the norm. The only way to protect marriage and the virginity of our children is to re-criminalize homosexuality.

In Minnesota we have either heathen, Methodists, Presbyterians, Episcopalians and Lutherans who are all very leftest and believe in same sex marriage & homosexuals in the pulpit. There are Christian Evangelicals but are extremely outnumbered.

Banning sexual activity between two consenting adults is not what I would consider liberty, especially since our privacy is already under assault from the unconstitutional Patriot Act and TSA scanners.

What a totally strange thought process. Marriage is a God created institution between a man and women. Go ahead and pervert what He set in motion, but, do not be belly aching when He has had His fill of what He called long ago an abomination.

I was responding to a poster who advocated banning homosexuality between consenting adults. Nowhere in my post did I advocate “gay marriage”. There’s a difference between not wanting private sexual activity between consenting adults criminalized and advocating that said activity be promoted by calling it marriage.

The poster to whom I was responding said that recriminalizing homosexuality would put an end to the “gay marriage” movement. I disagree. Homosexuals are only 1% of the population, far too small a number to constitute a significant voting bloc. It’s not just the homosexuals, it’s also the heterosexuals who support them. Banning homosexuality won’t disenfranchise all those young heterosexual college students who support “gay marriage”.

Sorry but if thinking it’s none of the government’s business what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own bedroom makes me a homosexualists then I guess the vast majority of Americans, even the vast majority of Republicans, are “homosexualists”. I didn’t say that 2 men or 2 women should be allowed to marry; all I said was it shouldn’t be illegal for them to have sex.

In Maine, it has been reported that numerous black voters in towns with a negligible black population registered and voted there.

The voter fraud was nation wide and appallingly egregious. THAT is why these marriage referendums didn’t win. The sodomites couldn’t afford to lose another one, and they pulled out all the fraud stops to make it happen.
