Not certain if Chris Christie (notice the double Christian appellations) was fully serious or half serious, but I think he has been listening to Someone.
I have often joked about the extreme liberalness of the Eastern Seaboard folks - for its academics, for its worship of money, for being the center of liberal media, and not least, for producing Jersey Shore. I don't think Governor Chris Christie is completely joking when comparing his state's devastation to Biblical scale plagues.
No matter Who or what the cause, we should never gloat in the misery/judgment of others. Can it be purely coincidental that Katrina, September 11, and Hurricane Sandy just happen to hit some of the most pagan places on earth? I don't profess to be Holier Than Thou, but there are Americans, like the ones who booed God in the Dems Charlotte Convention, who happily confess to be More Pagan Than Thou. "My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness".Isaiah 26:9
America has fallen, and it cannot get up. The reelection of Obama proved that God-fearing Americans, appreciative of the Founding Fathers and the Constitution, have seen it all thrown to the wind, especially by Democrats, and disinterested Republicans.. I do see tens of thousands of New Yorkers and Jersey people humbled by the unbelievable tragedy. It looks like a third world with mile long gas lines, streets filled with rubbish, water shortages, all sorts of diseases floating about, and scarcity of heat, food, fires, flooding, and destroyed housing. Increased shootings, muggings, and robberies add to the hellish environment.
The only "good" thing about the disaster is that it gave President Obama a last minute bump in the polls. Only a Democrat could think such a thing. Usually libs are much more subtle in their expression of hatred for mankind, while pretending to be humanity's protector. Joe Biden and Chris Matthews have been the exceptional gaffe machines with the ability to say anything without repercussion. One other entity profited from Hurricane Sandy - FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) offices in Staten Island were allowed to vacate (vacation?) their emergency offices "Due to weather." To further add injury, FEMA was auctioning prefabricated mobile homes, even as Sandy was gathering off of the coast of New York. To complete the addition of injuries, the State of New York, is now wanting to prosecute utility companies for not being prepared. It may someday be publicly disclosed that utility companies are so regulated by public utility commissions, that it is impossible for them to improve the electric/power infrastructure, because of heavy price regulations, as well as the EPA's governmental finger constantly poking into utility company operations.
I remember in 1985 and 1995 Pat Robertson summoned people to pray away hurricanes, for which he was laughed and mocked, although the hurricanes did steer away from Virginia Beach. And, no, I do not think Pat Robertson is infallible. Today, I have not heard of anyone - even in the New York,New Jersey areas praying before or after the hurricane damage. Maybe its too late as in Jeremiah 14:11 "Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for their good. When they fast, I will not hear..." Or, In Ezekiel 14 "Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.. . "Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate."
So, let the guffaws and jeers go forth from the God-booers (Democrat Convention), Salon, Daily Kos, Media Matters, and so on, but the good Lord can be pushed too far. The devastation in New York could occur anywhere, although not via hurricanes, only.Pestilence, the Sword, and Famine have been utilized countless times throughout history, and will be used again on countries which turn from God's love, and lust to do their "own thing," not knowing that, "There is a way that seems right to man, but ends in death."
I pray for all the victims of the latest natural onslaught from New York to New Jersey and points north, south, and west of Hurricane Sandy. I do not pretend to know all the mysterious ways of God, but I do know that His patience eventually runs out, and that He is primarily a God of mercy, and "Does not reward us according to our iniquity." Psalm 103:10 Many times, severe judgment can emanate from the incompetency of a government, ie., Excessive regulation of utilities which are hindered from fortifying their infrastructure, and the election of a man to government who has little respect for the ways of the Lord.

Katrina, September 11, and Hurricane Sandy just happen to hit some of the most pagan places on earth?
Mississippi is one of the most pagan places on earth?
What about Alabama and the tornado outbreak?

*most pagan places on earth*
Mississippi one of the most pagan places on earth? The poorest state in the Nation which is also the most charitable. Also MS is the only state that does not have an abortuary and was just hit by Hurricane Isaac.
Give me a break.

Also the areas worst hit by Sandy in New York City are some of the most Republican (Staten Island, the Rockaways) and heavily populated by Firemen and police.
The completely democratic Upper West Side (probably the most important source of Obama fundraising in the country) was essentially undamaged.
If God is responsible for disasters why is His aim so bad?

maybe he was inferring New Orleans, not the other parts of LA, or MS,AL and TX gulf coast. New Orleans is definitely “sin city” and it boasts a gay parade that brings in masses of gays every year. Mardi Gras is a drunken orgy, and the French Quarter probably rivals the scummiest part of any “progressive” European city like Copenhagen or Amsterdam. New Orleans’ reputation for sex, prostitution, drugs, syndicate activity, voodoo, etc. is widely known.
So, if that is what he was inferring, I can certainly see his point of view. Gotta agree w/ you on the MS/AL/TX/and even other parts of LA coastlines: poor, good people who do indeed know and love God. I have relatives from St Tammany Parish, LA all the way over to Okaloosa County FL. I’ll definitely vouch for them!

I think Christie should lower the flag to half staff to acknowledge all the joisey druggies who lost their stash because of Sandy.

The French Quarter was completely untouched by Katrina, by the way.

Circus fat Christie better get his girth into a reducing salon with the girls. He might get as thin as his psycho-phony pal Bronco Bama. Smoke 2-3 packs per day, that’ll do it.
