What happened on Election Day and what conservatives should do
Conservative Outpost ^ | 11/16/12 | Drew McKissick

If you really want to understand how to fix something, you first have to take a realistic look at what is wrong with it.

After the 2004 election, Howard Dean wondered how the Democrats would reconnect with men who flew Confederate flags and had guns in their pickup trucks. They didn’t, but have since won two presidential elections. After 2008, the GOP was filled with hand-wringing about connecting with minority voters, but it managed to win the greatest congressional swing election in generations in 2010.

In the wake of Obama’s re-election, there is a lot of hand-wringing going on in the GOP about making changes, but not enough clear-eyed assessments of exactly what went wrong and needs to be fixed.

There are three elements to any campaign: message, money and organization. While money was obviously not a problem, attested to by the good Christmases the children of TV station owners and media consultants are about to have, our message and organization didn’t make the grade.

The decision was made to just focus on the economy to the exclusion of almost everything else, resulting in our philosophy not being effectively communicated and connected to the everyday lives of Americans.

Constantly relating the answer to any question to what you want to talk about is a great display of one of the tenants of political messaging 101, but the other tenant is to first determine what it is in your interest to talk about. Our answer to everything seemed to be, “glad you asked that, but how about that unemployment rate?”

One reason for this is we suffer from an establishment and consultant class that constantly tries to avoid having to talk about a bunch of conservative principles that they either don’t truly believe in or the media have left them too

Here we had a case of a campaign “get out the vote” operation that didn’t produce. Two statistics stand out: millions of white voters who voted in 2008 didn’t turn out, and Romney got fewer actual votes than McCain did in 2008.

The sad truth was IMHO Romney ,at heart, wasn't a conservative. You have to be careful of the people like Romney, Guilanni or Christie who say they're "fiscally conservative, but socially liberal". What they mean is that they're "progressive lite" and that ALWAYS loses , especially when up against a Bolshevik like 0bama who will say anything, since all he wants is power. As soon as 0bama started the smear attacks, painting Romney as a "Tea Party favorite" Romney was stumped. He didn't answer the attacks because

a) He wasn't much up for a fight over cultural issues
b) Conservatives were only a necessary evil to him.

When you get that combination, not only will the left despise you, you get lukewarm support at best from your base. The only reason Mitt did as well as he did with conservatives was because they were deathly afraid of another 4 years of Hussein. We saw it here on FR. How many posts did you see that Romney was no better than Hussein?

Bottom line: Since 1980, no Republican can win without conservative support.

If you are going to publish a blog you should at least learn English. For example, the difference between tenant and tenet. Just because a word does not have a red line under it in spell check does not mean it is correct. Incorrect word usage negatively impacts your credibility no matter the importance of your message.

Drew McKissick's bottom line is ALWAYS the way to win elections - "conservatives have to take action – and that begins with a recommitment to taking over the machinery of the Republican Party at all levels."

That means everyone that possibly can must work hard at the local level, even in so-called 'blue' states.

BUT - I'm not buying what is being sold here - that this election failed because the conservative message didn't get out. It did, repeatedly.

However, the best campaign will fail in the face of massive election fraud. THAT story isn't being told - although it is to some degree on this website. Unfortunately we will continue to suffer election loses so long as such blatant fraud is allowed to continue with very little to no action by Republican leadership.

There are massive reports of criminal activity
(not mischief, not shenanigans- criminal activity) going on all over the U.S during the presidential election.

Reports of machines changing votes from Romney to Obama, eyewitness reports of Republican poll watchers who observed busloads of non-English speaking Somalians in Ohio being instructed to vote Obama- the list is endless.
http://www.ObamaVoterFraud.com/

Romney lost because of this, not any other reason.
Nobody could have won against the fraud planned and perpetrated by the Obama Machine.

Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.

The evidence is overwhelming!

I’m afraid that some around the margins of Conservatism will go over to the dark side.

They see the writing on the wall that for the foreseeable future we will live in a government-centric economy with Washington picking the winners and losers. So they will seek out bureaucrat favor, a government job, or some way to make their fortune over on that parallel ladder.

THIS is THE issue. We can't win elections with the kind of massive fraud that took place.

The current Republican leadership apparently cringe at the thought of fighting massive fraud. They just won't address it, yet it is so obvious. Where is their backbone?

What you can do:

These elections are NOT certified yet. The only way to get this investigated, much less recounted or overturned, is through the Secretary of State of each of the five key states: Florida, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. EVEN IF YOU ARE IN ANOTHER STATE you can help. But it won’t do any good to dilute our effort to challenge California or Michigan or other states. Until a major group gets involved to do more, here is the plan:

Contact the Secretary of State of the state in question. (See contact information below. Please provide others in COMMENTS.)

Send them the press clippings, or personal testimonials of clear vote fraud witnessed. (Statistical aberrations are helpful too like a historical 50% turnout in 2004, 2008 but a 90% turnout in a specific precinct despite an overall LOWER state turnout.)

Demand a public recount AND investigation, with a commitment to fight to replace THEM in the next election if they do not do so.

Email/Phone/Visit EVERY WEEK if not EVERY DAY. This will take weeks of steady pressure to get them to move.
Get your friends and neighbors to do the same.
Contact the OTHER 4 states to do the same as above.
Contact the Governor and the local GOP office with the SAME pressure.
(List of web contacts for each below)

If you are in those states (or know people who are) start attempting to find OTHERS with evidence of fraud. See if you can identify the precinct judges where the statistical aberations occur to pass along to the True the Vote which is set up to sue these entities with Judicial Watch.

Try to visit (or call) your local representative asking for their help to put pressure on. It doesn’t hurt that if they don’t or won’t you make it your goal to find and fund a challenger to them for allow open and honest elections – the fabric of freedom in this country – to not only go unchallenged, but to institutionalized.

Contact your city, state and national media to keep this story alive as well. (Fox News has an email just for this at voterfraud@foxnews.com)

Help us find, fund or coordinate willing lawyers, statisticians, pollsters and activists.

I can not reiterate enough that if this is NOT CHALLENGED NOW, we will could loose the House of Representatives in 2014 and possibly every election forward to massive voter fraud. Imagine Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi reenacting the first two years of Obama’s reign with more Stimulus, Cash for Cars, Solyndra’s and ObamaCare’s.

This fight can not be put off for another election cycle or another day. Or there will no longer be a constitutional America. Put down your foot and make the declaration, “THIS VOTE FRAUD WILL NOT STAND!”

I agree. Basically there was no message. Just “Obama sucks, we rock”. We complain about Obama’s “Hope and Change” lacking substance, but counter back with a message without substance of our own.

I don’t know why they don’t have the backbone to try to contest the election when it’s so blatantly obvious.

We can’t give up.
We will just have to sream our heads off until somebody listens.

We focused on tactics and the Democrats had better tactics. Now is the time to wage the fight at the Strategic level. They are weak there.

“Tenant” as he used it refers to possession of principles. It may be an out of date usage but it is valid.
